History: (Secret Avengers II#10 (fb) ) - S.H.I.E.L.D. computer tech Sarah Garza, unbeknownst to herself, had some Inhuman ancestry, and when Inhuman king Black Bolt spread Terrigen gas across the globe, Garza's body encased itself in a cocoon and began to mutate.

(Secret Avengers II#10) - Garza burst out of her cocoon; repulsed by the remains of the chrysalis and shocked by her new appearance, she threw up, then inadvertently triggered her powers, destroying her (thankfully, already-evacuated) apartment building. She was taken into S.H.I.E.L.D. custody, where she was met by Director Maria Hill; Garza expected to be fired, but instead Hill explained to her that Thanos' forces were attacking the Earth, and she was being sent out into the field to drive them off. Outfitted with a makeshift suit of armor that could channel her energies into controlled blasts, she was deployed to Brooklyn with the Iron Patriot and S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson. Immediately upon entering the combat zone, she froze up, and had to be tackled away from danger by Nick Fury Jr. After a pep talk from Fury, Garza enthusiastically stepped on to the battlefield and incinerated a number of Thanos' minions (and, accidentally, one of Rhodes' Iron Patriot drones), all the while thinking up potential super hero names for herself. Once they'd cleared the area of aliens, however, the Iron Patriot's suit suddenly shut down, and his drones started raining from the sky. Sarah blasted one just before it could crush her, only for her own suit to fall apart. The team was then ensnared by cables that burst the ground, thanks to another nascent Inhuman, Gavrel Achter, who promised them that they would pay for what they had done to his neighborhood.

(Secret Avengers II#11) - Trapped by the cables, Garza could only watch as Achter killed their backup by steering their flying car into a building. He soon lost control of the cables, however, allowing Garza, Rhodes, Fury, and Coulson to escape into an evacuated apartment building. Fury went out to draw Achter's attention, while Coulson readied himself to shoot the Inhuman; Garza and Rhodes were to cover them. Things went awry, however, and Achter flung a car at the building. Garza, furious at the indignity of dying in this situation, disintegrated the car, then attacked Achter, destroying the projectiles he flung at her. She grabbed him by the throat and berated him for "protecting" the neighborhood from them...but couldn't bring herself to kill him. Much to her dismay, Fury could, and shot Achter in the head; Garza was horrified by the dispassionate way he did so. Upon returning to base, despite Director Hill's approval of her performance in the field, Garza asked not to be put back on field duty; Hill agreed, and promised to arrange a way for Garza to control her powers and assume her old position with S.H.I.E.L.D.. However, until then, she was to remain in a cell aboard the Helicarrier.

(Inhumans Prime#1 (fb) ) - Hill apparently kept her promise, and Garza went back to her S.H.I.E.L.D. duties.

(Inhumans Prime#1) - Alongside fellow S.H.I.E.L.D.-affiliated Inhumans Quake and Synapse, Garza saw that S.H.I.E.L.D. had closed their file on Maximus the Mad following his imprisonment by the Inhumans.

Garza was pretty likeable. I kinda hope she shows up again - maybe in Inhuman? 2017 update: hey, she got a one-panel cameo in a one-shot! That ain't nothin'.

Unless her pre-mutation image is out of date, Garza's mutation also seems to have given her a haircut.
