History:
(Captain America I#328) - Lumberjack was lifting dumbbells at the UCWF's training center in Los Angeles when Captain America walked in and was looking for UCWF promoter Edward Garner. Lumberjack didn't believe that it was the real Captain America because he was too small and attacked him with some of the other wrestlers. Captain America avoided the superhuman wrestlers as long as he could, but more joined the fight when they believed Lumberjack was dealing with an unprofessional rookie using a weapon. Before the others joined the fight Cap used his shield to knock Lumberjack to the ground.

SECRET WARS III HAPPENED

(Venom War#1) - Years later Lumberjack was still in the professional wrestling business as part of the UCWF. At Night of Fights 2024 in the Grand Garden Arena Lumberjack, Caveman and Gator Grant answered Symbiote Smith's open challenge for his Unlimited Golden Belt. The match became a Deathmatch when the referee "Nervous" Ned Novis was unable to continue. The match was interrupted by the arrival of the time-split versions of Eddie Brock (Bedlam, Tyro, Wilde and Eddie Brock). Angered by the new arrivals going into business for themselves, Caveman and Lumberjack attacked them. Lumberjack pointed out that he had fought Captain America once, but was mocked by Wilde and quickly taken down by him.

Comments: Created by Mark Gruenwald, Paul Neary & Vince Colletta.

Like many other UCWF wrestlers Lumberjack presumably received superhuman strength and durability from the Power Broker. UCWF performers (according to Captain America I#316) had to have at least ten times the strength, endurance and resistance to injury of an Olympic athlete.

In Captain America I#375/2-378/2 (August-October, 1990) Lumberjack was possibly among the costumed wrestlers captured by Dr. Karlus Malus to perform experiments on in an attempt to cure Curtiss Jackson (the founder of Power Broker Inc.) of his augmentation. All of the wrestlers were returned to normal afterwards.

I looked it up and there is a Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, but not in New York City. The arena in question should be Madison Square Garden and it was even known by that name in the past (see this profile). Was it renamed in the Marvel Universe at some point?
