Powers/Abilities: Galactypus is a cosmically powerful spacefaring extraterrestrial. He is very large and virtually indestructible. Galactypus can project energy from his eyes that facilitates instantaneous travel. He can generate aggressive but mindless copies of living beings focused only on fighting. While claiming to eat planets, it seems he has the physical capacity to only eat planetoids and asteroids. Galactypus travels in a small spherical spaceship that is capable of warp travel and seems to be dimensionally bigger on the inside.

History:

(Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham I#12/2 (fb) - BTS) - Of unknown origin, the cosmically powerful and planet-consuming Galactypus arrived on Earth to eat it.

(Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham I#12/2) - Earth's super-powered team the Fantastic Fur (Invisible Gorilla, Mooster Fantastic, Simian Torch, the Thang) confronted Galactypus. Mooster Fantastic pleaded with the cosmic giant for pity because of all the beautiful rocks, trees and birdies, but Galactypus dismissed it as consumption of life was part of a cycle for all. Galactypus challenged the heroic quartet to prove their worthiness, hitting them with eyeblasts that transported them to a small remote island in the Pacific Ocean. He declared he would observe their actions against the heroes' evil twins he had also created. But the Fantastic Fur were clumsy and foolish in their strategy and, unable to defeat their foes, failed the test. Galactypus began devouring the rocks, trees and cooked birdies, but his body inflated with the sheer volume of food and he could not continue. The heroes rushed to make one final plea for their planet but disappointed in the food types, Galactypus was no longer interested in eating it, and he left in his spherical spaceship.

Galactypus is, of course, a cartoon parody (and hence the Earth-8311 version) of Earth-616's Galactus, who travels in a spaceship called the Taa II. I think "Taa Ta" would be a good Earth-8311 version of the starship's name.

In the 2021 Scholastic graphic novel Spider-Ham: Great Power, No Responsibility, Spider-Ham briefly meets the Scavengers and Thrr (dog of thunder) mentions Galactypus and Ducktor Doom being of Scavengers' interest. But that's all.

It's unrevealed if Galactypus has any relation to the Silver Squirrel (the way their counterparts Galactus and Silver Surfer have on Earth-616).

That a complex alien lifeform like the Earth-8311 version of Galactus is based on an Earth animal suggests that the whole Universe of Earth-8311 is populated by Earth animal versions of their Earth-616 counterparts, regardless of their extraterrestrial origin.

Platypuses are monotremes (egg-laying mammals) and are native to eastern Australia. (The males have nasty venom on their hind spurs - come visit Australia for our friendly wildlife!) As such, I'd argue that Galactypus would have an Australian accent! Crikey, mate! If so, then he probably turned up in the arvo, around beer o'clock.
