History:
(Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham I#16/2 (fb) - BTS) - Croak relied on his partner Badger's luminescent power to help navigate the darkened night streets in search of junk food to sate his hunger, but Badger became tired of the same routine and longed for a movie date.
(Peter
Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham I#16/2) -
One night, Croak continued his overly dramatic
monologues and quest for night-time food binges, and was berated by
Badger. But the villainous Mad Stinker sent his Ham-Droid robot to
capture Badger and it easily distracted Croak with snack chips while it
kidnapped Badger and took her to the Mad Stinker's lair. However, Croak
arrived to protect Badger and the fiend did not have enough
snacks left to sway him. Croak
enveloped the Mad Stinker in the folds of his cloak of darkness,
severely disorienting the villain. Badger was thankful and the pair
escaped into the night, only to have Croak return to the night-time
routine of scouring the shops for unhealthy snacks and asking the
exasperated Badger to pay for them.
(Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham I#17/2) - Croak was briefly kidnapped by the powerful cosmic being the Bee-Yonder to participate in the "Secret Furs", a commercial endeavor to test the moral and physical fiber of Earth's super-powered population to engage in violent confrontations.
(Spider-Ham I#3) - Thinking Larval Earth a mockery and wanting to obliterate it, the extradimensional Kang-6309 arrived and turned some of the super folk monochromatic, and they fought their still-colored counterparts (who included Croak and Badger).
(Spider-Ham I#5) - Having corrupted Kang-6309, the manipulative media
villain Mojo stepped in and imprisoned every super-powered being from
Earth-8311 in glass bell jars in the Mojoverse, intending to recast
them into other animated roles. But Spider-Ham duped Mojo into letting
Black Colt speak with his hypersonic whinny and all were released. The Bee-Yonder returned everyone home (except Mojo).
Comments: Created by Mike Mellor & Steve Mellor.
Croak and Badger are the Larval Earth versions of Earth-616's Cloak and Dagger. As such, I'm assuming Croak's powers are derived from mutation in a similar way to Cloak's.
