History:
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Family Ties" (fb) - BTS) - Bova encountered the young Magda Lehnsherr when she arrived at the Citadel of Science on Wundagore, frightened and alone, and heavy with child. From Magda's broken words Bova learned that the twins she carried were fathered by her husband, the mutant Magneto, whose recent destruction of a village had filled Magda with terror. Fleeing for her life, Magda had sought refuge in the Citadel, where Bova, trained as a midwife, took pity on the desperate mother-to-be and offered her care.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Family Ties" (fb) - BTS) - Bova and the New Men tended to Magda until she gave birth to two healthy children, Pietro and Wanda. Still fearing for her life, Magda fled soon after the birth, leaving the twins in Bova's care. Although the New Men later succeeded in locating her, Magda died shortly thereafter.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Family Ties" (fb)) - Determined to give the twins a safe and stable life, Bova entrusted the infants to Django and Marya Maximoff, a Romani couple living near Mount Wundagore, instructing them to raise Pietro and Wanda as their own children.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Family Ties") - Years later, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, now famous as Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, came to Wundagore seeking the truth of their origins, following revelations made by Django Maximoff shortly before his death. The High Evolutionary permitted the twins entry into the Citadel of Science, where Bova at last confirmed that she had aided their mother, Magda Lehnsherr, during their birth and had later entrusted them to Django and Marya to be raised as their own.
Bova told the twins that their mother had fled in fear of her husband, the mutant Magneto, and that Magda had ultimately died while in hiding. Out of compassion, and to protect them from further pain, Bova did not reveal Magneto's true connection to them. Though her account fueled the twins' anger and set further events in motion, Bova's role ended with the sharing of what she believed to be the safest version of their past.

When, in 2015's Secret Wars, the Multiverse was destroyed following the incursions of planets it appeared as if Reality-92131 was drafted onto Battleworld as the Westchester domain. However, this has since been debunked. As such the reality seen in the two volumes of X-Men '92 (2015 and 2016-2017) now have their own reality-designation of Earth-15730. The X-Men '92: House of XCII (2022) series was inspired by both the animated series and Hickman's House of X run but is its own separate reality. The limited series X-Men '97 (2024), however, is Reality-92131 and bridges the gap between the original X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon and the new X-Men '97: The Animated Series cartoon.
