BIG WHEEL

Classification: Terrestrial vehicle

Creator: Unrevealed (possibly built or just based on Tinkerer/Phineas Mason's design)

User/Possessors: MODOK's 11 (Armadillo/Antonio Rodriguez, Chameleon (actually the Ultra-Adaptoid), Living Laser/Arthur Parks, Nightshade/Tilda Johnson, Puma/Thomas Fireheart, Rocket Racer/Robert Farrell)

First Appearance: Super-Villain Team-Up: MODOK's 11#4 (December, 2007)

Powers/Abilities/Functions: Rocket Racer's Big Wheel is a 30 ft. diameter heavy gauge steel construct. Twin molybdenum steel treads surround the circumference. Mounted on both sides of the wheel are hydraulic waldo arms, machine guns, and rocket launchers. The side mountings and cockpit remain stationary while the wheel is in motion.

History:
(Super-Villain Team-Up: MODOK's 11#4 (fb) - BTS) - Rocket Racer took the Big Wheel to a Uyghur village in China and hid it under a tarp while he waited there until he was needed.

(Super-Villain Team-Up: MODOK's 11#4) - Rocket Racer was on the phone with his mum when he had to stop some of the villagers from looking under the tarp. After hearing an explosion nearby, Rocket Racer used the upgraded version of the Big Wheel to get to his team. He blew up a rock Armadillo was holding up and then took his team aboard their transport. They used it to pursue Mandarin (Temujin)'s dragon ship in their mission to steal the Hypernova. Armadillo was left behind in the Big Wheel while the rest of the team infiltrated Mandarin's ship over a rope bridge created by Nightshade's special gun. Armadillo ended up crashing the Big Wheel into Mandarin's ship to down it.

Comments: Created by Fred Van Lente, Francis Portela & Terry Pallot.

This Big Wheel was at least twice the size of the original Big Wheel, which could only fit one person inside its cockpit. This ship had enough space for six people (barely) and one of them was the massive Armadillo.
