SPORR

Real Name: Sporaceous Rutabaga Holmes (nah, it's unknown, or inapplicable, or just Sporr)

Identity/Class: Terrestrial Fungal mutate

Occupation: Predator

Group Membership: None

Affiliations: Gena-Sys Laboratories, Dr. Oonagh Mullarkey (creators)

Enemies: Genetix

Known Relatives: None

Aliases: Vesper referred to it as an overgrown mushroom.

Base of Operations: The sewers (or whatever they're called) beneath London, England

First Appearance: Codename: Genetix#1 (Marvel UK, January, 1993)

Powers/Abilities: Sporr is a giant, semi-amorphous creature. It possesses great (Class 10-25?) strength, which is most likely proportional to its size. It is composed of mutated fungal spores, and can presumably grow in size by replicating its component spores. It is also most likely susceptible to the same types of injury as conventional fungus, although as long as one single cell/spore of it survives, it can replicate and rebuild itself. It is relatively unharmed by blunt or sharp attacks to portions of its body.
It does have a cephalic (head) component, with eyes and a mouth, and it can extend tentacles or pseudopodia as needed, much like an amoeba.

History: Sporr is apparently some sort of fungus, mutated by experimentation in the Gena-Sys labs. It gained sentience and escaped from the laboratory into the sewers below.

(Codename: Genetix#1) - Genetix was sent to the sewers to contain or recapture Sporr. Vesper directed the others to try to contain it by some means, to prevent it from spreading. However, when Ridge got into trouble, Shift pulled out an energy weapon and blew it to smithereens. This did not destroy it, but merely dispersed it, allowing it to escape from the sewers and further attacks.

(Genetix#1) - Genetix attempted to invade Gena-Sys labs in order to learn their true paths, and once again encountered Sporr in the sewers below. This time Base created a vortex which sucked Sporr into it and held it while Vesper and Stinger blasted it away, into a distant tunnel.
