History: (bts) - Bridget was born in Northern Ireland from a working-class family. Several of her brothers and two uncles were jailed or killed during the violent era she grew up in. She had been suspected of having ties to the IRA, but nothing had been proven. She had been described by neighbors as an angry girl, unwilling to believe in the hope of peace. Recently, she was suspected of participating in a shooting with the police, but she fled Belfast.

(Thor II#17 (fb) ) - Loki watched as Bridget Malone found the Kestrel Key of Krakkan, and he saw her become Conquest, the living embodiment of battle.

(Thor II#17) - Alongside Bedlam, she came to pick up Juggernaut during his battle with Thor. She disappeared along with Bedlam and Juggernaut.

(Iron Man III#22) - Conquest was seen on a TV screen during her fight with Thor.

(Peter Parker: Spider Man II#11) - Conquest was present in the basement of the Daily Bugle alongside the rest of the Exemplars, and she subsequently fought Spider-Man. Later Spider-Man returned with Dr. Mann, Iron Man and Thor and fought the Exemplars.

(Juggernaut: Eighth Day#1) - Alongside the rest of the Exemplars, Conquest waited for the finishing of the "God Machine." When Stonecutter finished it, they brought it to the North Pole. Conquest began to argue with Decay and Carnivore, but she was stopped by Bedlam. Later, she was knocked out by Juggernaut, who had decided to go against the Exemplars. Conquest returned to fight Juggernaut, but was again knocked out. When the final battle was lost, she vanished alongside the rest of the Exemplars.

(Avengers III#23) - Alongside Decay and Stonecutter, Conquest discovered Carnivore in the Himalayas. She brought Carnivore with them for the ultimate revenge against Juggernaut for his betrayal.

(Avengers III#24) - In the stone plaza created by Stonecutter, she fought Carnivore as a test of power. Later, alongside the rest of the Exemplars, she appeared before the Avengers and kidnapped Juggernaut.

(Avengers III#25) - Alongside the rest of the Exemplars, she was present at the stone plaza created by Stonecutter in preparation for the execution of the traitor Juggernaut, and for the gigantic battle between the Exemplars. Suddenly, the stone plaza was attacked by the Avengers, Spider-Man, and Nova. Conquest fought Nova, defeating him easily, and she then began fighting Quicksilver. In the end Conquest and the rest of the Exemplars were successful in defeating all the superheroes--except Captain America. Conquest was finally defeated when Captain America managed to persuade Bedlam to turn against her partners, and all of the Exemplars again vanished.

(Avengers/JLA#4) - Conquest was among the beings called forth by the extra-dimensional being Krona to guard his base from the Avengers and the Justice League. She was defeated along with several others by Black Panther, Black Widow, and JLA members Batman and the Huntress.

SECRET WAR HAPPENED

(Black Knight III#2) - The Exemplars returned and were stopped by the Avengers Unity Squad. They were all shocked when Black Knight apparently slew Carnivore with the Ebony Blade.

Comments: Conquest was created by Dan Jurgens (writer), John Romita, Jr.(artist) & Klaus Janson (inker).

One odd thing that somewhat seperates her from the other Exemplars is that she apparently carries the Kestral Key with her and sometimes uses it as a weapon.

According to Kurt Busiek the costumes for all the Exemplars (except for Juggernaut) were designed by Jos&eacte; Ladrönn. Thanks to Minor Irritant for the information.
