History:
(Incredible Hulk II#164 (fb) - BTS) - Under unrevealed circumstances, Aquon was created through the genetic-engineering of Captain Omen--Omen planned to use him as a secret weapon and enforcer, in the event that Omen's crew, the Infra-Worlders, ever rebelled. (For further information on all of that, see Captain Omen's profile.)

(Incredible Hulk II#164 - BTS) - The Hulk was brought aboard the Infra-World, a gargantuan submarine populated by the Infra-Worlders--Captain Omen, whose goal was to claim the entire ocean floor for himself, commanded the immense vessel, and he harshly ruled over the Infra-Worlders with iron discipline.

(Incredible Hulk II#165) - Some of the Infra-Worlders, along with the Hulk, planned a rebellion against Captain Omen. But when Omen got word of the mutineers' plans, he released Aquon to put them back in line.

The Hulk and Aquon fought, and the two behemoths seemed to be evenly matched. However, during their battle, the hull of the Infra-World was breached, causing a massive cascade of seawater to flood the giant submarine.

After sealing the flooded section where the Hulk and Aquon fought, Captain Omen activated the Infra-World's repair system to seal the breach; but as the flooding water was being pumped out, Aquon got pulled into one of the suction vents, while the Hulk had the strength to resist the pull.

With Aquon vanquished, Captain Omen was forced to concede defeat to the rebellious Infra-Worlders, and so the Infra-World headed toward the surface-world. Captain Omen took the rebellious Infra-Worlders to an island on the surface (...where they exploded, due to the change in the pressure-level).

Comments: Created by Steve Engelhart and Herb Trimpe.

I can't believe that Aquon was killed by something like that. I want to see him meet up with Hulk again, as soon as Hulk's book gets good writers again.
The Hulk does have good writers, it just doesn't have...the Hulk! That's what I miss. The stories aren't bad.

Aquon appeared in a total of 21 panels in the 7 pages where he and the Hulk clashed. My guess is that when Aquon got pulled into that suction vent, the water-draining mechanism probably chopped him into chum.--Ron Fredricks

This profile would not have been possible without the help from Jake at Leader's Lair. The original image and some of the information was his. Thanks Jake!

Aquon is pictured and mentioned in the Captain Omen profile in World War Hulk: Gamma Files.

Since he didn't have a dorsal fin, he didn't look much like a part-shark to me--my guess is that Aquon might have been a human/eel hybrid.

Although the cover depicted Aquon as speaking (see third image), the only sound he made in the story was on the one page where he hisses (see Main Image); Captain Omen also referred to him as "my mindless killer," so possibly Aquon didn't have the mental capacity to speak.

And when the Hulk later fought the "Volcano Creatures", he mentioned aloud that one of those monsters reminded him of "Captain Omen's Fish-Face" (referring to Aquon).--Ron Fredricks
