Background information on me: I am not computer illiterate, but I am computer remedial. I put this site together based on a "Web Pages for Dummies" book. I am open to easy suggestions on how to make things user friendly. This site will be dedicated almost exclusively to profiles on every aspect of the Marvel Universe, but it won't contain a lot else. I'd rather do another profile than take the time to make the site look more advanced. Some of the profiles may look a little rough because I can't always space things exactly the way I want to. My apologies.

Anyway, I may not know a lot about computers, but what I do know about is the Marvel Universe. I have @ 17,000 Marvel Comics. I have almost every single original Marvel Universe-continuity comic that has been published since FF#1. There are plenty of cases where some of these reprints, but I still have the story. (my collection)

What I'll be featuring: The Obscure characters: every single Marvel Continuity character, group, etc. that has come out since FF#1, that has NOT received an entry or profile in some other official or unofficial Handbook. What that means is the characters that most people neither know nor care about. This site is for the true, hard-core Marvel Zombie.

Since there are over 10,000 characters, etc. this site will always be incomplete, and growing. However, I'm starting it with about 450 full entries. There are easily twice as many sub-entries (supporting cast, etc. tacked on at the end). I'll probably be able to add a few a week. I include a detailed history and description, with a bibliography, and some of the best pictures I can find (and scan). (profile description). Let me know if you find errors or omissions, as I try my hardest to be complete.

Who won't be featured (RULES of THUMB):-I may break these if I just feel like doing a character anyway.

(1) Anyone featured in the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe (OHotMU), regular, deluxe, update, master editions. Barring major changes, etc. (or if I feel like it)

(2) Anyone featured on another website. There will be some that I have done, that either have an entry I haven't seen, or receive one later, so there may be some small amount of overlap. Also, I may do one if I feel another entry only skims the surface, etc. (or if I feel like it). Perhaps in the future, i'll include those as outside links. (other sites to check)

(3) Anyone featured in the last 5 years. Many other sites are most likely to cover those, so i'll leave it to them. If 5 years go by, then I may do them. In general, the older the character (and the longer the time since its last appearance), the more likely I am do it. (I'm most likely to break this rule if I feel a character belongs in the land of the Obscure).

(4) Way out of continuity characters. ie. GI. Joe, Transformers, or anything not having some direct connection. I'll probably eventually do some Conan, some Westerns and War characters. I intend to eventually get to things like the New Universe, Ultraverse, etc.

(5) Civilians (ie. supporting characters), etc. will get entries eventually. They're just lower on my priority list. Many of them may get a sub-entry.

How the Site Works: Since I don't really know how to do a lot of fancy tricks, it should be pretty straight forward. If you want to find the Painter of 100 Perils, click the link to characters, and then to "P", and find him in the alphabet. My alphabet may be a little off. I usually go strictly by what letter comes next, and ignore spacing, hypens, etc. If a character goes by several names, or could be classified in more than one fashion, I try to make links in all locations. (ie. Blazing Skull II also has a link under Skull the Slayer)

Some characters receive full entries, and others get sub-entries under their groups or another character to which they're related. (Sometimes I get into my head that each character (no matter how minor should get their own entry (that's why all of the Mega-Monsters and members of Demon-Fire and Project: Glamor get their own))). Other times, I'll list several related characters under a team entry. Supporting characters may get a sub-entry under the major character with which they're associated (ie. Skull the Slayer and his fellow castaways). Every once in a while, two characters who are intimiately linked together get a single entry (ie. Bulk and Glow Worm, or Assault and Battery). However, I'll do my best to provide a link for each character that should provide a bookmark to the location of that character's info.

So, if you have a request for your favorite nobody, let me know. Please check the other sources for an entry, because if it has one, or if the character appeared recently, I probably won't be doing it.(other sites to check)

If you want to put together you're own profile, let me know, and I'll e-mail you the template.

Please submit any requests, feedback, etc to snood911@home.com.
