Powers/Abilities: Apox was transformed into a cyborg by Skrullian Genetechs, and could tap into the Power Cosmic. He possessed an undetermined degree of superhuman strength (at least Class 10?) and durability. Apox could exist in the void of space, and could travel through space by harnessing meteor swarms and riding with them. He could fly and release blasts of cosmic energy through his hands. He had a degree of psychic powers, including telekinesis and hypnosis. Apox's powers were regulated by a power nodule on his back, and without this nodule he would explode in a blast of cosmic energy.

History: (Spider-Girl#47 (fb)) - Apox was given god-like powers by Skrullian Genetechs to be their ultimate weapon, a destroyer of worlds. Apox now viewed himself as a god, and destroyed the Genetechs when they refused to worship him.

(Spider-Girl#46, 47) - Apox planned to end humanity's threat to the Skrull Empire, and traveled to Earth among a swarm of meteors. Earth's orbital defense grid destroyed most of the meteors approaching Earth, but Apox slipped past. Apox crashed into the Fantastic Five Building, destroying the building's top floor, injuring Peter Parker and the Human Torch, and destroying one of Big Brain's android bodies. Spider-Girl and then Psilord arrived at the FF Building, and Psilord blasted Apox into the East River with a psi-blast. Apox returned minutes later and struck down Psilord and the Scarlet Spider, another hero who had joined the fight. Spider-Girl ripped off a component of his cybernetic body, a power nodule, enraging Apox. He chased her past the rooftops of Manhattan into Central Park. The recovered Big Brain determined that without the power nodule, Apox would overload and explode in a cosmic blast. He makes some adjustments to the nodule and had Spider-Girl reattach it to his back. The modified nodule caused Apox to short-circuit within seconds. Apox dropped to the ground, deprived of his powers. He was placed in the custody of S.H.I.E.L.D.

(Spider-Girl#86) - Apox escaped S.H.I.E.L.D. prison at Mount Athena and set out to complete his mission: destroy the Fantastic Four. He intended to return to his people as a living god once his mission was finally complete. As Apox flew towards New York, his approach was detected by Nova, who flew to confront him, but Apox easily swatted him aside. When he arrived in New York, he found the Avengers waiting for him, but destroyed Mainframe's android body and outfought J2 and Thunderstrike. He went on to best the Sub-Mariner, and hurled the Hulk into the outer edge of Earth's atmosphere rather than take the time to fight him.

(Spider-Girl#87) - When Apox arrived at the Fantastic Five's base, he found only Psi-Lord present, alongside Spider-Girl, Doom (Kristoff Vernard), the Human Torch's son Torus Storm, and the Thing's children Rad and Grim. Apox sent a signal flare to a Skrull worldship on the far side of the galaxy, and they responded by encasing the Fantastic Five Headquarters with an extermi-field that would absorb solar energy until it detonated as a solar bomb. Apox learned from the young heroes that the rest of the Fantastic Five were within the Negative Zone, and he entered the portal into that dimension so that he could continue in his goal.

(Spider-Girl#88) - Spider-Girl and Psi-Lord pursued Apox into the Negative Zone as he sped towards the Fantasti-Station, but he shrugged off their attacks. When he finally faced the Fantastic Five, Mr. Fantastic attached a device to his chest which siphoned his Power Cosmic so that he could use it to heal the reality tear within the Negative Zone which had kept the Invisible Woman in stasis for years to control. Mr. Fantastic and Doom dismantled the solar bomb, and Apox was placed back into custody.

Comments: Created by Tom DeFalco, Pat Olliffe & Al Williamson.

Apox demonstrated none of the standard Skrullian shape-shifting powers. Perhaps the Genetech's work on him had erased these powers, or perhaps he didn't consider them necessary to use anymore.

Apox wanted to kill Captain America, Iron Man and Thor, among Earth's other heroes. The Skrulls must not have had contact with Earth for a while, because these heroes were no longer active on Earth-MC2.

Apox appears in the gallery of Spider-Girl's foes in Spider-Girl#100.
