History: (100th Anniversary Special: Guardians of the Galaxy#1 (fb) - BTS) - After Peter Quill was presumed to be deceased, Gamora took on his mask and carried on the name of Star-Lord, becoming the leader of the Guardians of Galaxy consisting of Drax, Groot, Rocket and his relatives (Uno, Duo and Trey), Iron Man (Tony Stark's consciousness in nanite form) and Charlie-27 (see comments). They went on a mission to stop the Silver Galactus, who had absorbed the Silver Surfer and become even hungrier than before.

(100th Anniversary Special: Guardians of the Galaxy#1) - At the gates of Asgard, abandoned by the Gods, the Guardians engaged the latest Herald of Galactus: seemingly their old teammate "Vance Astro." He sent an army of Punisher robots after them, occupying the Guardians while his master went after his true target, the Guardians' base at Knowhere. By taking over the dead Celestial's central cortex, Silver Galactus was going to get access to all worlds across all realities for him to consume at will. Despite their teleporters being locked out of the system, the Guardians found themselves teleported to Knowhere regardless and Gamora ordered Groot, Drax and Charlie to get Silver Galactus' attention while Iron Man's nanoswarm figured out a way to stop him. "Vance Astro" engaged Gamora while Iron Man and Cosmo together managed to reawaken the dormant Celestial's brain and stop Silver Galactus' assimilation. The world devourer planned to punish the interlopers when "Vance Astro" suddenly shut him down. Explaining that he needed to play the wrong side to fool Silver Galactus' cosmic awareness, "Vance" then took off his mask and revealed himself to actually be Peter Quill, alive and well.

Comments: Created by Andy Lanning, Ron Marz and Gustavo Duarte.

The full name of reality-7528 Gamora living in reality-616 has been given as "Gamora Zen Whoberi Ben Titan" in Guardians of the Galaxy III#4. As this Gamora is a possible future version of her, this presumably applies to her as well.

Gamora's physical characteristics and abilities have been approximated from her reality-7528 counterpart.

Charlie is identified as both "Charlie-27" on the recap page and "Charlie-72" within the story itself. It is unclear which, if any, of those is an error.

Despite the issue ending with a "To Be Continued?" note, to date no follow-up to this story has been made. This is of course part of the joke, as the 100th Anniversary Special comics all took place in the middle of the "ongoing" storylines supposedly published by Marvel in the year 2061 A.D.
