History:
(Uncanny X-Men I#395 - BTS) - Ostracized by mankind for being a mutant, Simian joined the Tunnel Dwellers, a group of outcast British mutants living in the tunnels underneath London.
(Uncanny X-Men I#395) - Simian and the other mutants were present when three of the X-Men (Angel, Iceman and Nightcrawler) discovered their "home." It didn't take long for their leader, the one-eyed man named Cyclops, to attack and scare them off. Subsequently Simian witnessed the arrival of Church of Humanity assassin Mister Clean (Paul Botham). Clean, calling himself the genetic cleanser, was hellbent on wiping out all mutants, starting with the Dwellers. He first killed Cyclops after which Simian, Warthog, Croc and Compound opposed the assassin. Clean, however, quickly punched Simian in the throat after which he proceeded to pick the mutants off one by one.

Mr. Clean wiping out the London Tunnel Dwellers was, of course, an homage to 1986's famed Mutant Massacre during which the Marauders butchered most of the Morlocks who lived in New York's sewers.
The London Tunnel Dwellers also appeared in the X-Men Novel X-Men: Watchers on the Walls (May, 2006) during the Chlorite invasion of Earth. Tunnel Dwellers who appeared in the novel were Nessie, Madcow and Spiny Norman.
Simian, as part of the Morlocks, received a handbook profile in the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A-Z#7 (March, 2009), this is where his name was revealed.
