It serves as an exoskeleton which raises his strength to the enhanced level and provides protection against many physical attacks such as gunfire. The power pack to the armor is located behind his right shoulder and if damaged, the armor becomes practically immobile. He carries a spear approximately 8' tall and of unrevealed composition (possibly Vibranium). The spear can discharge concussive energy blasts and it also has a sharpened tip for conventional stabbing and slashing attacks.

Hair: Black

History: (Iron Man I#332) - As New York was laid siege to by Onslaught, Kunta and his fellow guard Ogun accompanied Taku to investigate a secured door opening to the Wakandan Consulate. The visitors turned out to be the Black Panther, Quicksilver and Iron Man, who had come to design a defense against Onslaught's powers using the Consulate's stores of Vibranium. Taku was outraged by the intrusion but as Prince T'Challa himself had led the Avengers there, he quickly dismissed himself and the guards.

(Black Panther III#32) - After the Black Panther was captured by his enemy Malice (Nakia), Ogun and Kunta accompanied security chief Omoro to the building where he had been confined. The two guards helped set T'Challa free from Malice's bonds. Later, the duo were stationed outside of a hospital room where T'Challa's cousin M'Koni was supposedly recovering but she was instead replaced by Okoye of the Dora Millaje. Malice still managed to get into the room through another door but this proved to be part of a complicated plot T'Challa was playing against her.

(Black Panther III#38) - When Everett K. Ross arrived at the Wakandan Consulate trapped in a body which made him appear to be the demon Mephisto, he was captured by the Consulate staff. Ogun and Kunta were charged with guarding him until the Black Panther arrived and interviewed him, verifying his identity as Ross.

(Black Panther III#39) - Ogun monitored Ross' movements as he continued to try and return to his original body.

(Black Panther III#60) - When Kevin "Kasper" Cole applied for admission to the Black Panther Cult, he was tested at the Wakanda Consulate as the High Council of the Wakandas interrogated him on his knowledge of Wakandan history. At the same time, Ogun and Kunta (both garbed in new armor designed by Tony Stark) were sent to attack Cole. Cole noted that this fight was supposed to follow the interrogatories but the council had little interest in hearing Cole's petition and simply wanted him beaten as quickly as possible. Cole's handguns had little effect on Ogun and Kunta's armor but his Kimoyo card suddenly flashed a message to him from Erik Killmonger. Having his own reasons to make Cole his pawn, Killmonger showed Cole a schematic of Ogun and Kunta's armor, revealing their power source was located behind the right shoulders. Cole used his anti-metal claws to rip apart Kunta's power source then used his energy dagger to strike Ogun's armor.

Comments: Created by Terry Kavanagh, Joe Bennett, Mark McKenna and Tim Dzon.

The guard in Black Panther III#39 is difficult to identify but he doesn't seem to have facial hair, making him Ogun.

Ogun and Kunta's armor was pretty light in their first few appearances but in Black Panther III#60 it was modified into a full-body armor.
