History:
(Spirits of Vengeance I#1) - As he poured Johnny Blaze a cup of coffee, diner owner Mack lectured Blaze on how too much coffee can have a stupor effect and also affect one's prostate. Blaze responded by asking Mack why he had a sign in the diner window that touted "Home of the Bottomless Cup of Coffee" and Mack admitted that a guy had to earn a living somehow. When a stranger soon walked in and appeared to know Blaze by name, Mack stepped away from Blaze to clean off his coffee pot and give the stranger a suspicious eye. The stranger talked to Blaze about being shot with special ammunition and Mack watched as the stranger soon began glowing. Mack then witnessed the man spontaneously combust in a corona of angelic fire that was briefly shaped like a pair of angel wings. Mack immediately grabbed his fire extinguisher to put out the fire as Blaze picked up some of the ammo the stranger was talking about. As Mack assured his customers that he had the fire under control, Blaze departed, thanking Mack for the coffee and asking him to take care. Mack and his customers then stared at the smoldering stranger and when one of the customers asked if they should call someone, a confused Mack replied by asking who they would call and what they would be able to do.

(Spirits of Vengeance I#4) - Johnny Blaze returned to Mack's diner with Daimon Hellstrom, Satana and the vampire hunter Blade. Some time later, Mack poured Blaze coffee and wondered how much longer Daimon Hellstrom was going to sit in the corner silent. Blaze thanked Mack for the coffee and explained that Hellstrom was thinking.
