History:
(Superior Spider-Man I#2) - When Spider-Man (Otto Octavius) returned a piece of stolen equipment to the Marla Jameson Memorial Wing of Empire State University, Ruth Goldman, the Dean of Students, personally thanked him, as did J. Jonah Jameson.

(Superior Spider-Man I#4 (fb) - BTS) - Goldman became aware of Peter Parker, who'd formerly dropped out of college, when Parker made a sizable donation to the university. Spider-Man also sent a personal endorsement for Parker, who was petitioning for the chance to graduate with his degree again.

(Superior Spider-Man I#4) - Goldman met Parker (secretly Octavius in his body) at the university, then introduced him to Don Lamaze, an esteemed professor on campus, who would be on the review board for Parker's thesis.
