 History:
(
Mythos: Ghost Rider#1 (fb) - BTS) - Davie Wilson was a mechanic working for stunt rider Johnny Blaze. Feeling responsible for Blaze's safety, he would berate the rider whenever Davie felt he was acting irresponsibly, while simultaneously covering for Blaze with Blaze's adoptive sister, business partner and friend Roxanne "Rocky" Simpson. Like everyone else in the stunt show, Davie was unaware that the reason Blaze was staying out all night and coming back appearing drunk every morning was because he had been tricked into selling his soul and was transforming into the Ghost Rider once it got dark.

With the team in Las Vegas preparing for a big show, Davie repeated this pattern, telling Rocky that Blaze was making final safety checks at the jump site to cover for his latest nightly absence. Rocky mentioned to Davie that Blaze had mentioned to her that he had a "big secret" planned for the end of the stunt jump, which concerned Davie as he knew nothing about what this might be and whether it needed to be prepared for.

(Mythos: Ghost Rider#1) - When Blaze rolled in the next morning Davie came over to chastise him and told him he looked like hell. He added that Blaze couldn't keep doing this to the team, never sleeping, never there, and always coming back "half-lit," on top of which he constantly took out his MX400 stunt bike on these sojourns and came back with it bust up. To this last Blaze responded that it was funny Davie had mentioned it, as the bike needed some new repairs after his latest night out. Davie tried to impress on Blaze that the concerns were serious, pointing out that Blaze's industry rivals were never seen out drinking and fighting like he was, but Blaze dismissed those rivals as untalented hacks who couldn't do what he did. To this Davie agreed, saying that no one could do what Blaze did, since his blood alcohol level alone made him unique. Amused by this, Blaze declared Davie to be like the little Jewish grandmother he never knew he had. Davie made one more attempt to get through to Blaze, pointing out that he was making the crew nervous, since they were responsible for his safety and he was making their jobs a lot harder than they should be, reminding him they couldn't just roll up to a show site and have him jump without proper preparations. And with that in mind, Davie asked Blaze to tell him what he was planning for the end of the stunt, but Blaze told the mechanic he'd find out the next day like everyone else and ended the discussion by going into his trailer.

(Mythos: Ghost Rider#1 - BTS) - Davie told Rocky that Blaze was in his trailer moping and had bent his stunt bike out of shape.

(Mythos: Ghost Rider#1) -  The next night shortly before dusk the show was ready to go, and Davie knocked on Blaze's trailer door to tell him it was time, excitedly adding that he had to see the crowd who had turned out to witness the event.

(Mythos: Ghost Rider#1 - BTS) - Davie presumably witnessed Blade's jump, during which he changed into Ghost Rider as he rid down his ramp, his transformation obscured from the audience by pyrotechnics so they thought him appearing to be a burning skeleton as he took to the air was a special effect.

Comments: Created by Paul Jenkins and Paulo Rivera.

Davie may well have worked for Johnny's father Barton and/or Crash Simpson, Barton's partner / Johnny's adoptive father, given his obvious closeness to both Roxanne Simpson and Johnny. However, nothing was explicitly mentioned regarding this, so it's a speculation and for the comments rather than the history.
