History:
(All-Select Comics 70th Anniversary Special#1/1 (fb) - BTS) - On July 26, Amanda was badly wounded when hit by a drunk driver, Michael Brayden. Later, at the hospital, she learned that a procedure had been done to save her life that left her unable to have children. Amanda put together a plot to make Michael pay. Pretending she was paralyzed and bound to a wheelchair, Amanda introduced herself to Michael, who was now in recovery, and made him believe that she needed to be taken care of, though he did not know that she was the woman he had once hit. When Amanda married Michael, she became friends with his attorney, Blake Tower, and Tower's assistant, Louise Mason. Michael drew up a complex prenup agreement with Amanda, that listed her as the beneficiary in case of his death, but only after they had been married five years. Amanda stayed married to Michael, pretending to be paralyzed, for the full five years. When the time was right, Amanda stole hard drives containing Michael's business ventures, which were worth millions of dollars, and put them in a dumpster, where they were later found by a hacker. Days later, on the anniversary of her accident, Amanda brutally murdered Michael, stabbing him eight times, and then "stealing" key pieces of her own jewelry. Amanda called 911 and told a story about how robbers had killed him and she'd been helpless on the lower floor, unable to rush to his aid.

(All-Select Comics 70th Anniversary Special#1/1) - After news of Michael's death spread, Mason visited Amanda, comforting her, and Amanda cried over how she'd never given Michael children. Mason began looking into Michael's death and realized right away that there was no sign of forced entry. After following clues, Mason returned to Amanda, having realized she'd committed the murder. Amanda attacked Mason, who easily defended herself and saw Amanda arrested.

Michael Brayden

(All-Select Comics 70th Anniversary Special#1/1 (fb) - BTS) - Michael Brayden established a prominent career in arbitrage, working on cases worth tens of millions of dollars. Brayden was a regular client of attorney Blake Tower and his assistant Louise Mason at times. Tower represented Brayden through multiple DUI offenses and through his first divorce, in which he took his wife for millions. On the night of his divorce, July 26, Michael got drunk and got in an accident, hitting a pedestrian (Amanda Brayden). Michael began cleaning himself up and six months later, he met Amanda, though he didn't recognize her as the woman he'd hit. Amanda was in a wheelchair, paralyzed (though only pretending) and he grew to love taking care of her. They soon married, after drawing up a complex prenup that listed Amanda as his beneficiary in the case of his death, but only after they had been married for five years. After the five years were up, Amanda brutally attacked Michael, horribly stabbing him to death, on the anniversary of her accident.

(All-Select Comics 70th Anniversary Special#1/1) - Tower and Mason got word of Brayden's death.
