(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z (hardcover) Vol. 7: Appendix: Magic (from the journals of Ian McNee) (fb) - BTS) - Zhang Jiao took over as Sorcerer Supreme in 100 AD and used his power to lead the Yellow Turban Rebellion during the later Eastern Han Dynasty of China.

    However, with the emergence of Christianity and its anti-magic sentiment, Agamotto and the Vishanti remained mostly in the background.

Comments: Zhang Jiao is a historical figure adapted to the Marvel Universe by David Sexton.

    To the best of my knowledge there are no existing images of Zhang Jiao in the Marvel Universe

    It is unrevealed whether he Zhang Jiao directly succeeded Caius;

    Real world history courtesy of Wolfram Bane:

100 AD. Zhang Jiao (or Zhang Jue), born in Julu Commandery (modern Pingxiang County), Hebei, China, was a Taoist sorcerer during the late Eastern Han dynasty of China

184 AD. Zhang Jiao, known to his followers as the "General of Heaven," founded the Yellow Turban Rebellion with his two younger brothers Zhang Bao and Zhang Liang. The Yellow Turbans are Taoists who rebelled against the corrupt Han government. Zhang Jiao died of illness in Guangzong County, Hebei, China, while under attack by imperial forces led by Huangfu Song. The Rebellion is officially ended in February, 185 CE, but numerous uprisings that follow continue until 205 CE.

205 AD. During the late Eastern Han dynasty of China, the numerous uprisings that followed the suppressed Yellow Turban Rebellion, started in 184 AD, are finally put down, but the massive toll taken by the Han government leads to the collapse of the Han dynasty in 220 AD.

The Yellow Turban Rebellion was depicted in the fourteenth century historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which portrayed Zhang Jiao and his brothers as sorcerers.
