Powers/Abilities: Like most Celestials, Valknar possesses vast cosmic powers of unknown limits. Some of the abilities displayed by Valknar include godlike strength and durability.

Valknar is teeming with fiery energy, which can projected outward as blasts of force. The ultimate effects of the energy appear to be different depending on the color of the energy being channeled. For example, Valknar was seen project red energy into the sky that caused the sky to burn and rain down fire. Green energy, on the other hand, could be used to charge Valknar and was able to open up physical rifts in the Earth.

History: (Avengers VII#5 (fb)) - An alien Horde-infected Celestial, Zgreb the Sorrower, was awakened on Earth and Zgreb infected other Celestials like Valknar to create the Final Host.

(Avengers VII#5 (fb) - BTS) - Zgreb accompanied Valknar and the other Final Host members in infecting and felling the other Celestials.

(Avengers VII#1) - Having seemingly murdered several fellow Celestials alongside the Final Host, Valknar the Exhumer accompanied the other Final Host to Earth.

(Avengers VII#3) - Valknar remained by the side of the other Final Host as Captain America battled the Final Host's ally Loki and disappeared with the Final Host when Captain America used teleportation grenades to send the Final Host into the heart of Earth's sun. Unfazed by the heat, Valknar and the other Final Host prepared to annihilate Earth. Traveling to Earth's North Pole, Valknar opened rifts to allow the Horde to emerge from Earth's underground caverns as Captain America was forced to watch from afar by Loki.





(Avengers VII#4) - The other Final Host Celestials joined Valknar in standing at the North Pole as Loki teleported Captain America into the Earth to see the Celestial Progenitor that began Earth's infection by the Horde. As Loki continued his story of the Earth's Celestial origins, Valknar and the Final Host began their annihilation of Earth with Valknar firing red energy into the skies to make them appear to burn. After the skies began raining fire, Valknar watched with the other Final Host as Ghost Rider drove to Captain America's rescue.

(Avengers VII#6) - Following Captain America's rescue, Loki ordered the Final Host to lay waist to Earth but the Avengers stood ready to battle Valknar and the Final Host. Made gigantic size by the Asgardian Blood of Ymir, She-Hulk got Valknar into a bear hug before turning the grapple into a headlock. She-Hulk then took a bite out of Valknar's armor, proclaiming it tasting like a bomb in her mouth before Valknar turned focus towards Thor. As the Final Host began to gain the upper hand, a Celestial-empowered Ghost Rider blasted Valknar. The Avengers ultimately managed to utilize Eternal techniques to form a Uni-Mind and render the Horde dormant, reviving the newly-infected Celestials to help against Valknar and the Final Host. During the subsequent battle, Arishem the Judge physically fought Valknar while the Avengers worked with the Celestials to take down the rest of the Final Host.











(Avengers VII#8 (fb)) - After the Final Host was defeated, Valknar and the other Final Host were placed in the custody of the non-Horde infected Celestials

While Valknar first appeared in Avengers VII#1, Valknar was not identified by name until Avengers VII#6.

It was not clear how old Valknar was exactly. Zgreb the Sorrower, another Final Host member, was seen to have been alive since 1,000,000 B.C. but it was not known if that was also the case with Valknar.
