The Squire was arrested but swore revenge on the sheriff. He was taken to jail. Meanwhile, Manton met and married the pacifist Holly Maughn, who convinced him to give up guns in the town. Three peaceful years passed until a warning came that the Squire had been released as he headed back to Manton's town to exact revenge.

(Frontier Western#10/5) - In the town's street, the Squire faced the unarmed Manton ready to gun him down. But Holly finally realized the dangers of the American frontier and threw her husband his guns. The Squire shot and missed his mark, but Manton caught his guns and quickly disarmed the Squire again. The villain was arrested and led away to be locked up with an expected longer sentence.

Dick Manton

Sheriff Dick Manton had outdrawn and disarmed the criminal known as the Squire in a gunfight, after which the Squire was arrested and swore revenge on him. Two weeks later with the territory in peace, Dick met new ranch owner Walter Maughn and his daughter Holly, both from England. Holly was instantly attracted to Dick, but averse to his guns, and persuaded him with marriage to stop wearing them; he even banned them in his town. But the Squire returned three years later and was about to shoot the unarmed sheriff when Holly suddenly wised up and threw the sheriff his guns. A quick catch and shooting, and Dick downed the Squire again. Holly embraced Dick, acquiescing she was now a western girl, no longer an English woman, and acknowledged Dick needed his guns after all.
