(Daredevil I#231 (fb) - BTS) - Paulo Scorcese had a long criminal record for armed robbery, drug-trafficking, and murder, but he successfully evaded police.
(Daredevil I#229) - In Mexico, Paulo saw one of his favorite actresses, Karen Page, begging for drugs. He offered to help her for a cost. She asked to be taken north, and he agreed. When a few men, who worked for the Kingpin, sought to kill Karen, Paulo shot them both and said he hoped she was worth it.
(Daredevil I#230 (fb) - BTS) - Paulo drove Karen north, initiating a physical relationship with her and giving her drugs.
(Daredevil I#230) - Paulo brought Karen into New York City, where she tried to kiss him goodbye, but he expected more from her, so she spent the night in a hotel with him. The next morning, Paulo found Karen missing. Furious, he tracked her down and punched her. He let her go see her friend, but ordered her to return or he'd come to kill her. "You're mine now," he told her, brandishing a knife.
(Daredevil I#231 (fb) - BTS) - When Karen didn't return, Paulo tracked her down, finding her at the home of attorney Foggy Nelson.
(Daredevil I#231) - Paulo waited outside Foggy's apartment menacingly, and Karen soon saw him from the window. When police officers questioned him, Paulo opened fire on the cops. When Karen rushed outside, Paulo smashed her head into a wall, but he was then shot in the shoulder. Killing two cops, Spanner and Trumbull, as he entered the alley, Paulo was then shot in the back and he fell. Karen robbed drugs out of Paulo's pocket as he drew a gun to kill her, but an icicle dislodged by Matt Murdock pierced his shoulder, stopping him. Paulo was arrested as he tried to flee, alongside one of the Kingpin's men, Michael Kemp. Paulo faced several life sentences in prison.

When a gunfight broke out between Paulo Scorcese and police officers, Kingpin, over the phone, ordered Kemp to stand down, but Kemp was arrested when he tried to flee the scene. --Daredevil I#231 |
