History: (Avengers VII#9 (fb) - BTS) - Roxxon
formed a subsidiary organization called Roxxon Cruises to provide
relaxing cruise vacations for their clients. Walter Newell and his wife
Diane decided to go on a vacation by taking a Roxxon Cruise.
(Avengers VII#9) - The Roxxon Cruise ship upon which
Walter and Diane were on was attacked off the coast of the Bahamas by
the criminal Tiger Shark, who demanded Roxxon Cruises pay a toll for
cruising his waters. Announcing that he was there to collect, Tiger
Shark began climbing up the side of the Roxxon Cruise ship until he was
met by Walter in his heroic guise of the armored Stingray. The two
superhumans then took the fight into the water, where they encountered
Namor the Sub-Mariner.
