History: (Daredevil I#296) – Autopsy specialist Romero was assigned to investigate the death of Izanami, a ninja of the Hand. Frustrated about being home late to see his kids, Romero prepared to get to work as Savini yelled at him. Izanami shockingly returned to life and snapped Romero's neck.

It's worth noting that Romero, a guy who works with dead bodies, is likely an homage to George Romero, noted zombie movie filmmaker, whose special effects guy on "Dawn of the Dead" and "Day of the Dead" was Tom Savini, whose name seemingly inspired the name of Romero's co-worker Savini in DD#296. - Proto-Man
