History: (Dark Avengers I#10 (fb) - BTS) - George Washington University student Veronica Robbins decided to travel across the United States with her roommate Betty Simpson in an effort to get away from her ex-boyfriend Scott Goodman, who had recently cheated on her.

(Dark Avengers I#10) - Arriving in Dinosaur, Colorado as Veronica considered calling Scott to tell her she had left town, Veronica and Betty decided to take a bathroom break at the Dino Burger restaurant. Going inside, Veronica was told the bathroom was in the back and that it was for paying customers. When Betty ordered two cups of coffee, Veronica went on into the bathroom and phoned Scott, leaving a voicemail that she had both left town and Scott. While leaving the voicemail, Veronica noticed a crack in the wall and poked at it, soon noticed her cellphone had become a glob of pink goo. Shocked, Veronica backed into one of the stalls, causing the stall wall to bend inward from her weight. Now outright terrified, Veronica soon noticed the floor bending with her weight as well and she screamed, alerting Betty, who noticed everyone in the restaurant had become gray in color as Veronica and Betty's car disappeared with the wind. Two days after Veronica went missing, Betty's Secretary of State father enlisted Norman Osborn and his dark Avengers to investigate, unaware that the molecule-manipulating Molecule Man was controlling the entire town of Dinosaur.

Veronica and Betty were obvious homages to the Archie Comics characters Betty and Veronica.

Veronica Robbins has no known connections to:

Scott Goodman

Scott Goodman was a pre-med student at George Washington University, where he dated Veronica Robbins. After Goodman cheated on Robbins, she left him and traveled the country with her roommate Betty. When Betty and Veronica arrived in Dinosaur, Colorado, Veronica considered calling Scott to let him know she had left town but Betty argued against it, reminding Veronica that Scott had cheated on her. Once the duo went inside the Dino Burger for a bathroom break, Veronica went to the bathroom and called Scott anyway, leaving him a voicemail explaining that she both left town and him. The call to Scott was cut off mid-voicemail, however, when Veronica's phone became a glob of pink goo. The call was nonetheless later tracked by Osborn's HAMMER agency to find Veronica's last known location.
