History:
(Daredevil I#240 (fb) - BTS) - Hilda, a hard drinker and chain smoker, worked at the diner where Matt Murdock worked as a dishwasher. She befriended him and his girlfriend Karen Page, telling them how she had terrible taste in men, and how she wanted to quit smoking and drinking.

(Daredevil I#239) - Smoking during her shift, Hilda took an order from a man (Rotgut) who complained about toxins and poisons. She complained to Matt. The man left after knocking the cigarette out of Hilda's mouth, then Matt went after him, telling Hilda to have Jeff cover for him.

(Daredevil I#240) - Hilda cancelled dinner plans with Matt and Karen to go out with her date, Boffo.

(Daredevil I#240 (fb) - BTS) - When Hilda saw Rotgut on the street, she chose to follow him, sending Boffo to tell Matt.

(Daredevil I#240) - Hilda watched Rotgut drop poison into a building's water supply. Hilda confronted Rotgut, grabbing a long nail to defend herself, but he pulled out a knife. She blew her rape whistle, and Daredevil showed up to help, but Rotgut attacked the hero and knocked out Hilda with a pipe to the head. Daredevil soon defeated Rotgut as the Fatboys gang warned everyone in the building not to drink the water.

(Daredevil I#241 (fb) - BTS) - Hilda and Boffo planned to have Christmas dinner with Matt and Karen. When Boffo stood her up, Hilda got high in Karen's apartment.

(Daredevil I#241) - Karen caught Hilda and was initially furious, reminding Hilda that she was an ex-junkie herself. Karen hugged Hilda and offered her support.

(Daredevil I#248 (fb) - BTS) - Hilda dyed her hair black. She began volunteering with Karen at a legal clinic, providing advice to civilians.

(Daredevil I#248) - On a chaotic day at the clinic, Karen and Hilda were overwhelmed until Matt came in to offer advice to the civilians there. Just then, the wife of Bushwacker, Marilyn Burbank, rushed into the clinic asking for help.

(Daredevil I#249) - Hilda kept volunteering at the clinic, which was now called the "Legal Aid and Drug Hotline".

(Daredevil I#250) - Hilda kept working at the hotline, where she coached a woman impacted by domestic violence. When a group of mothers, including Margie, came in to complain about a grade school teacher who was discussing nuclear war in the classroom, Matt asked Hilda to take their testimonies and set up appointments for their kids to come in. A mysterious man, Mr. Fasolino, came into the clinic and threatened to shut it down if Matt didn't first.

(Daredevil I#251) - Hilda went to work, where Matt was planning a case with actual attorney David and Karen was helping drug addicts. She stood with the Fatboys when Mr. Fasolino came in to shut the place down, flanked by the cops, including Bucko Leary. Hilda pretended she'd be suicidal if the place was shut down, and the cops agreed to let the place stay open until the upcoming court date.

(Daredevil I#253) - At the clinic, Karen, Hilda, Matt, and the others prepared for a Christmas celebration after all the volunteers showed up to help. At the party, Matt dressed as Santa and brought gifts, giving Hilda a toy robot.

(Daredevil I#261) - At the clinic, Hilda and the Fatboys watched the Human Torch do fire tricks. Hilda lit her cigarette off the Torch.
