EARTH-71853

Type: Alternate Earth

Environment: Earth-like

Usual means of access: Dimensional teleportation, presumably vibrational attunement

Dominant Life Form: Atlanteans

Significant Inhabitants: Namor

First Appearance: Exiles III#3 (July, 2018)

History: (Exiles III#10 (fb) - BTS) - Earth-71853 was a world in which Atlantis had conquered the surface world and formed New Atlantis there.

(Exiles III#3) - The reality-hopping Exiles group found themselves transported to Earth-71853, landing right in New Atlantis' Groove 7 Seas and the Sea Market Octopus Gardens. Investigating this new reality, the Exiles walked towards a cafe and soon met Earth-71853's hippie Namor, who offered the Exiles anything they needed to relax. Blink remarked that Namor's offer sounded great but tried to warn Namor about the impending threat of the reality-devouring Time-Eater. Unfortunately, she became distracted when she saw her former teammate, Earth-1081's Morph, and her words of warning proved too late when the Time-Eater devoured Earth-71853 as the Exiles were shunted to another reality by Blink's Tallus device.

(Exiles III#5 - BTS) - The Exiles created a temporal paradox that restored Earth-71853 to how it was prior to the Time-Eater destroying it.

(Exiles III#6 - BTS) - Blink suggested traveling the Multiverse to find her missing teammates, recalling seeing Morph on Earth-71853 and watching him disappear moments before the reality had been devoured.

(Exiles III#7 - BTS) - When Blink located her former teammates, Earth-1081's Morph and Earth-2182's Nocturne, on Earth-18136, she informed Morph that she had been searching for him ever since he disappeared from Earth-71853's New Atlantis.

(Exiles III#10 - BTS) - As the Exiles discussed the off-and-on dependability of Blink's Tallus device, Iron Lad commented on the near-infinite number of realities in the Multiverse including Earth-71853, where Atlantis had conquered the surface world.

Some online sources list Earth-71853 as being mentioned in Exiles III#12 but I could find no mention of this reality in that issue.

CLARIFICATIONS:
Earth-71853 has no known connections to:

Namor

Namor was the hippie leader of Earth-71853's New Atlantis. When the reality-hopping Exiles arrived on Earth-71853 and began exploring, Namor soon greeted them and welcomed them to New Atlantis and the Age of Aquarius. He then offered the Exiles' Khan some wine but she informed him that she didn't drink. Understanding, Namor then offered Khan participation in one of his love-ins but when she refused, Namor decided to offer the Exiles anything they needed to be copacetic. As a party then broke out, the Exiles' Blink admitted that a feast would be nice but attempted to warn Namor about the impending threat of the reality-devouring Time-Eater until she became distracted by the appearance of her former teammate, Earth-1081's Morph. The Time-Eater arrived soon after, seemingly erasing Morph from existence and forcing the Exiles to another reality as Namor and Earth-71853 were also seemingly destroyed. When Earth-71853 was restored due to a temporal paradox created by the Exiles, the Exiles' Blink recruited Namor to aid her and several of her alternate reality counterparts and allies against the Time-Eater. Once the Time-Eater had been dissipated, Namor was returned to Earth-71853.

Namor was first seen on the Javier Rodriguez variant cover for Exiles III#2 but he did not appear in-story until Exiles III#3.
