History: (Venomized I#1 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, an alien Poison from reality-17952 bonded with Earth-22186's symbiote host Wolverine, consuming Wolverine and assuming his form/abilities.

(Venomized I#1) - Poison Wolverine, with the help of the Poison X-Force, attacked the Earth-616 Xavier Institute for Mutant Education and Outreach, infecting Colossus, Nightcrawler and Old Man Logan with symbiotes and fighting them in an effort to consume the symbiote-bonded heroes. When the X-Men's Storm joined the fight, the Poison X-Force escaped through an opening inadvertently created by Storm's arrival.

(Venomized #3) - Poison Wolverine and his teammates from Poison X-Force reinforced the other Poisons against the Earth-616 heroes lead by Captain America as more heroes came along with Kid Kaiju.

(Venomized #4) - The Hive used Poison Marvel Girl's psychic connection to Cyclops of an alternate reality and found the heroes' base in the Alchemax building. They attacked the heroes and Poison Wolverine was in the core of the battle until the heroes escaped.

(Venomized #5) - Following the alternate, time-displaced Marvel Girl overcoming the hivemind of the Poisons consuming her body and destroying a majority of the Hive by severing their ties to the Poison Queen, Poison Wolverine remained alive and in hiding.

Comments: Created by Cullen Bunn and Iban Coello.

Poisons consume beings that bonded to symbiotes. The Poisons themselves are from Earth-17952 but each of them devoured an alternate reality superhuman in order to transform into the form they currently use so in this case, an Earth-17952 Poison devoured the Earth-22186 Wolverine then took over his body.

The Poisons are not identified by name since they share a hivemind and, as such, one could argue that they were all related to one another in the Hive despite them not being biologically related. - Proto-Man

The Thanos assimilated by the Poisons was actually from the Poisons' native reality-17952, as confirmed by writer Cullen Bunn on his Tumblr page. -Proto-Man

While unclear as to how or why the Poison Wolverine survived being severed from the Poison Queen's hivemind, one would think it might have something to do with Wolverine's healing factor, which the Poison likely assimilated when it consumed Earth-22186's Wolverine. - Proto-Man
