History: (Spidey I #5 (fb)) - Crime-Master was one of the many criminals that had clashed with Spider-Man.

(Spider-Man: Master Plan#1) - For months, Crime-Master prepared to rob Stark Tower in order to sell Tony Stark's technology on the black market. While various criminal gangs rioted throughout the city and thereby distracted superheroes and police, Crime-Master quietly broke into the Tower and took several of Stark's technologies. However, the criminal's plans were not destined to come true, as Spider-Man arrived, drawing attention to the absence of crime in the Stark Tower area. Crime-Master fired a gun at Spider-Man but the superhero deftly dodged and covered the weapon in a web. Another attempt to shoot the wall-crawler again proved unsuccessful when the webbed-up gun exploded. Crime-Master then attacked Spider-Man with gas weapon and tried to finish him with the help of an electric glove (one of Tony Stark's stolen designs). Crime-Master considered himself the winner but Spider-Man threw him down and draped him in web cocoon. Nick Lewis was then left in the hands of the police and the subsequent news release suggested that Spider-Man and Crime-Master were accomplices.
