History: (Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#20 (fb) - BTS) - Using a chip to influence a bear's movements, Melissa Morbeck dressed the bear up as Dr. Doom, as part of a plot to take over New York City. She attached a speaker to his armor so she could speak through him.

(Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#20) - Doombear stood in his Dr. Doom uniform before Squirrel Girl, Tippy-Toe, Nancy Whitehead, Mary Mahajan, Chipmunk Hunk and Koi Boi. Melissa Morbeck spoke about her plans to unleash a zoo full of animals under her control on the city and Squirrel Girl believed Melissa was in the armor until Morbeck had the bear unmask. Morbeck soon let Doombear go and he removed his clothing before trundling off wearing only the green cape.
