Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Cornerstore on Creation is a magic and curio shop owned by Ian McNee.

It contains an unspecified number of magic items and mystic tomes, including, at least, the First Tarot.

At least for a time, it housed the Cornerstones of Creation (a page from the Darkhold, the Ebon Rose, the Serpent Crown, and the Sword of Bone)

    It also employs Mr. White.

It may or may not be the home of Ian McNee (and/or Mr. White, and/or Ashake), as well.

History:

(Mystic Arcana#1 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, Ian McNee became the owner (or renter) of a location in Brooklyn, in New York, which he made into his magic and curio shop, the Cornerstore on Creation.

(Mystic Arcana#1) - When Ian McNee awakened at 6 pm following a dream where he was seeming instructed by Oshtur (actually Chthon) to gather the Cornerstones of Creations, Mr. White greeted him and questioned what had him up at the crack of dusk.

Greeting Mr. White, Ian asked him to bring him some very, very hot coffee and he would tell him all about it.

(Mystic Arcana: Sister Grimm#1/1) - Ian may have been reviewing the First Tarot and thinking through his recent adventrues and encounters with "Oshtur" at the Cornerstore.

(Mystic Arcana: Sister Grimm#1/3) - As Ian figured out that the Cornerstone known as the Dark Mirror was the Darkhold, the reflection of Chthon's dark soul, Marie Laveau entered the Cornerstore on Creation and delivered a Darkhold page to Ian.

Chthon then again appeared in the form of Oshtur and guided him to cast the spell to restore Heka-Nut's spirit and allow it shelter in his mortal shell. cornerstore_on_creation-ma4-3-p1p1

While Chthon sought to have Heka-Nut possess Ian and give the demon the Cornerstones, Ian had anticipated this betrayal and used a pre-arranged plan to bring the ancient Egyptian sorceress Ashake to the room.

As Morgan Le Fay and Llyra remotely/mystically restrained Chthon, Ashake reasoned with Heka-Nut, who requested she use the Sword of Bones to sever his contact with Ian.

McNee then used the Cornerstones' power to banish Chthon.

As the spell faded, Ian and Ashake were left in the Cornerstore, where the real Oshtur greeted them and gave them the mission to use the Cornerstones to repair the structure of magic.cornerstore_on_creation-ma4

After Oshtur's departure, Ian and Ashake considered that their quest had only begun.

Comments: Created by David Sexton and Eric Nguyen.

The Cornerstore on Creation is obviously a play on the Cornerstones of Creation. Presumably Ian named it in reference to the Cornerstones, but we don't know how or what inspired him to choose that name.

The Cornerstor on Creation may or may not have been the location from which Ian McNee reviewed the First Tarot as detailed in Marvel Tarot.

We haven't seen Ashake since she was brought forward in time to help Ian...she may taken up residence at the Cornerstore...or not...

    Courtesy of creator David Sexton:

Mr. White was a name I came up with because I eventually wanted him to meet up with Wong, and I could have a cute meeting of White and Wong.

I always thought of Ian as a gifted, well-meaning mess, and Mr. White was his mystical Alfred (Bruce Wayne/Batman's butler, in case you don't get the reference).
