History: (Avengers Standoff: Assault on Pleasant Hill Alpha#1 (fb)) - During World War II, Virginian restaurant Bev's Diner was open twenty-four hours a day and became a popular hangout for soldiers stationed at Camp Lehigh. Super heroes Captain America and Bucky, in their civilian guises as soldiers Steve Rogers and "Bucky" Barnes, would often visit Bev's and Bucky would flirt with the girls there while Rogers sat in a back booth fumbling with his napkin. Decades later, Bev's Diner finally closed up when owner Bev's grandson moved to Oregon.





(Avengers Standoff: Assault on Pleasant Hill Alpha#1) - After hitting several secret S.H.I.E.L.D. facilities, the Winter Soldier left a clue for Steve Rogers that he was not being mind-controlled in the form of a napkin from Bev's Diner. Visiting the now-abandoned Bev's Diner, Rogers found the Winter Soldier inside cooking eggs and the two sat down to discuss the Winter Soldier's destruction of S.H.I.E.L.D. bases. The Winter Soldier then revealed that he had learned that S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Maria Hill was using Cosmic Cube fragments, feeling as if Steve Rogers had a right to know what was going on, then announced that he was leaving to stop Hill. Rogers offered to join him but Winter Soldier remarked that the aged Rogers would only slow him down before teleporting away as Rogers' S.H.I.E.L.D backup arrived at Bev's Diner.

While the location of Bev's Diner was never stated, Steve Rogers mentioned going there from Camp Lehigh, placing the restaurant somewhere in Virginia.
