History:
(Civil War Files#1 - Thunderbolts Army entry (fb) - BTS) - Ajaxis the Lava Man left his civilization in Subterranea and, at some point, committed crimes in America, getting the attention of the Commission on Superhuman Activities. He was offered a place on Baron Zemo (Helmut Zemo)'s Thunderbolts Army, and Ajaxis agreed.

(Thunderbolts I#103) - Ajaxis was seen (from behind a railing) among the criminals held in stasis by Baron Zemo.

(Thunderbolts I#104) - Ajaxis stood among the Thunderbolts Army on their training ground in New Mexico.

(Thunderbolts I#107) - When the Universal Wellspring began granting powers to civilians, the Thunderbolts Army broke into squads to handle concerns. Ajaxis was assigned to the Beta Squad with Texas Twister, Pretty Persuasions, Bloodstrike, and Smiling Tiger, and they went to Los Angeles. In time, Bloodstrike and Smiling Tiger turned on the others, with Bloodstrike putting his fist through Ajaxis' chest.

(Uncanny Inhumans#5 (fb) - BTS) - Ajaxis pursued a career as a professional fighter, best known for his bouts with his hated rival Toz, a super strong Moloid. They began planning out a new match, and held a press conference at the Quiet Room bar, owned by Black Bolt, where they were not allowed to fight.

(Uncanny Inhumans#5) - Ajaxis and Toz held their press conference, but soon began battling with each other, bursting through the walls in the club.

(Uncanny Inhumans#6) - Toz and Ajaxis kept fighting, ignoring the concerns of their managers, until Black Bolt intervened, but they just kept fighting with him. After a savage fight, Black Bolt knocked them both out himself, then claimed the championship belt himself.

Comments: Created by Fabian Nicieza, Tom Grummett, and Gary Erskine.

The Lava Men were originally Gortokians, a race created by the Deviants from human DNA. Some Gortokians formed a religion around the demon Cha'sa'dra, who mutated them.
