History: (Avengers VI#10 (fb) - BTS) - A group of "xenomorph" aliens traveled to Earth to evaluate humanity in secret to judge humanity worthy of their gifts. Ultimately, they became trapped on Earth when a Cosmic Cube-created duplicate of Captain America took over the planet and had a shield generated around Earth, preventing any aliens from entering or exiting Earth's atmosphere. Wishing only to return to their loved ones on their home planet, the "xenomorphs" began attacking some of the outposts that were keeping the shield up and running, starting with an outpost in Uzbekistan.

(Avengers VI#10) - The next day, Hydra's Avengers team were sent to investigate a signal-boost outpost that was keeping an energy shield around Earth running and found the outpost damaged in a manner similar to the one Superior Octopus had noticed in Uzbekistan the day prior. Splitting up into groups, Hydra's Avengers soon located one of the "xenomorph" aliens in the west side of the outpost, where Black Ant reported the threat to the other Avengers. Black Ant then jumped into the air and shrunk down, smashing himself through the "xenomorph"'s eye to enter the "xenomorph"'s body. While Taskmaster held off the "xenomorph" and reported his status to Superior Octopus, Black Ant attempted to enlarge and explode the "xenomorph" from within, only to find that the alien's skin would not rupture. Outside, Taskmaster cut away at the alien until Black Ant managed to launch himself through the "xenomorph"'s body, killing it. Reporting the alien dead and stinky, Taskmaster asked about the others as Deadpool and Vision located two more "xenomorphs" in the outpost machine room. Battling the two "xenomorphs," Vision asked Superior Octopus what his status was, unaware that Superior Octopus, Odinson and the Scarlet Witch were fighting their own group of "xenomorphs" in the outpost's south area. Deadpool and Vision were ultimately force to flee and regroup with their teammates in south area but Taskmaster was soon connected to one of the "xenomorph"'s minds, where the "xenomorph" attempted to explain the reasoning for their presence there. Once connected to Taskmaster's mind, the "xenomorph" explained how they didn't wish the Avengers harm, only wanting to return home. When the "xenomorphs" promised Taskmaster immeasurable power and resolve to do only good if he helped them escape Earth, Taskmaster severed his connection to the "xenomorph" and claimed to the other Avengers that the aliens wanted to cleanse the Earth and eradicate humanity. Their own resolve emboldened by Taskmaster's claims, Hydra's Avengers slaughtered all of the "xenomorphs" present.

Comments: Created by Mark Waid and Mike del Mundo.

While the actual alien race name was never revealed, Taskmaster referred to the aliens as "Xenomorphs," likely in reference to the popular Alien movie series, in which the aliens are called xenomorphs.

Profile by Proto-Man.

The "Xenomorph" aliens have no known connections to

"Boy"

"Boy" was one of the "xenomorphs" in the outpost's machine room. It attacked Deadpool when Deadpool and Vision investigated the area by webbing Deadpool to the wall. Deadpool eventually cut himself free and "Boy" and another "xenomorph" cornered Deadpool and Vision, forcing the two to flee. After Taskmaster learned that the "xenomorphs" were peaceful, he nonetheless claimed to the other members of Hydra's Avengers that the "xenomorphs" wanted to eradicate humanity, leading the Avengers to slaughter "Boy" and the other "xenomorphs" present.
