History:

(Love Romances#31/1 (fb) - BTS) - Suzanne Storm was keen to make it in stage acting and was picked for her first role by Jimmy Blake, who fell quickly in love with her. Aware of her ambition, he only hinted at his feelings to her, suspecting that marriage was not for her. Blake stayed close as her press agent and guided her career to achieve Broadway prominence.

(Love Romances#31/1) - At her latest play, "Love's Rival", she was wooed with flowers by wealthy trader Vincent West and several dates soon followed. West proposed to her on a boating trip and she accepted, but she was reluctant to concede to West's demands that she retire from acting and become a full-time housewife. Upset, she confided in  Blake, who later confronted West backstage. She overheard the men's stern exchange and heard Blake admit he had long been on love with her. After the play, she decided to cancel the engagement with West and returned the ring. Later, Blake revealed his true feelings to Storm and the two agreed to marry, but with Storm continuing her acting career.

I'm guessing the similarity in name with one of Stan Lee's prominent creations would suggest that this story was also penned by Stan Lee.

These romance stories often had the flavor of the time in which they were written, and nothing else to tie them into Marvel's sliding timescale. As such, it's likely that the stories took place at the time of publication rather than being part of the sliding timescale.

CLARIFICATIONS :
Suzanne Storm has no known connections to:

Jimmy Blake

Jimmy Blake

Jimmy Blake quickly fell in love with promising stage actress Suzanne Storm, but thought her ambition ruled out any prospect of marriage and so kept mostly quiet about his feelings. To stay close, he became her press agent, promoting her stage plays and guiding her path to Broadway stardom. When rich trader Vincent West wooed her, Blake encouraged the first date, but after seeing West's later adverse impact on Storm to retire, confronted West backstage. Storm overheard Blake declare his love for her and she canceled her engagement with conservative West so that she could continue acting, married to Blake.

Vincent West

Vincent West

Vincent West was a successful but conservative Wall Street market trader and philanthropist, who channeled funds to support Storm's play. He managed to get Storm out on several dates, eventually proposing marriage to her, but expected Storm to sacrifice her stage career and become a full-time housewife. This upset Storm and led to her secret love, Jimmy Blake, confronting West backstage. She overheard the exchange and decided to cancel the engagement, returning the ring. West did not seem particularly upset.
