History:

(Spidey Super Stories#27/4 (fb) - BTS) - The magic-wielding, dog-shaped Spot, dwelling in the Spotland dimension, lost a key magic book. This book ended up in a New York library, where Easy Reader and Valerie found it.

(Spidey Super Stories#27/4) - Not realizing the power of the spells, Easy Reader read out spells in the book; one spell transported him, Valerie and Spider-Man to Spotland, an airy domain with many colored floating discs. Spot rushed by, talking briefly. Another read spell made the spots disappear, although Spot returned and announced it was hunting for a missing magic book. Spider-Man tried to net Spot with a web, but Spot just teleported away. Easy Reader spoke another spell and they were left in a sea of honey. Spot rowed by in a boat and the three returned the magic book. Thankful, Spot offered them a reward of their own choosing. Valerie declared they wanted to go home, so Spot zapped them back to the Electric Company studios.

It's unrevealed if this Spot's domain of Spotland (with colorful floating discs) is linked to the portal-producing Spider-Man villain's dimension of Spotworld (black and white), An Untold Story just waiting...?

Spot's only shown from a side view. It's not revealed if being a dog is Spot's usual shape.

Spotland might be a play on Scotland, given Spot looks like a Scottish Terrier dog (and it was rushing off to Spotland Yard).

Certainly one of the more peculiar stories in Spidey Super Stories. And that's saying something!
