Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Shield of Endless Misery could display images of possible futures that had negative outcomes. It could also act as a traditional shield, protecting its wielder.

History: (Doctor Strange & the Sorcerers Supreme I#1 (fb) - BTS) - In their neverending quest to absorb items and beings of magic, the gestalt Forgotten being located the Shield of Endless Misery.

(Doctor Strange & the Sorcerers Supreme I#1) - Erupting from the ground with the Shield of Endless Misery, the Forgotten grabbed Merlin and used the Shield to show Merlin images of his mission failing before the Forgotten seemingly killed Merlin.

(Doctor Strange & the Sorcerers Supreme I#4) - When the Forgotten found Merlin's group of mystic recruits inside its former prison, it revealed its origins and summoned forth the Shield of Endless Misery alongside other artifacts it had absorbed or acquired, including the Word of God book, and began casting a spell to free its prison from its place outside time. The Sorcerers quickly disrupted the spell by attacking and the Forgotten knocked aside the Shield and the other artifacts to focus on the Sorcerers.
