History:
(X-Men I#98) - Julius Schwartz was in New York on Christmas Eve and decided to visit the tree at Rockefeller Plaza. Unbeknownst to him, he was in the presence of the X-Men, Nick Fury and Valentina de la Fontaine. Also: a Doctor Doom impersonator could be seen iceskating on the rink outside 30 Rock. Julius walked past Clark Kent and Lois.

Julius was just one of the many cameoss appearing in X-Men I#98, it's his only Marvel appearance to date. Lois and Clark can be seen in the main image of this profile.
The actual Julius "Julie" Schwartz (June 19, 1915 - February 8, 2004) was a towering figure in comics. A legendary editor, he also worked as a science fiction agent and was above all things a fan of the medium. Born and raised in the Bronx, he is best known as a longtime editor at DC Comics, where he oversaw the company's flagship superheroes Superman and Batman for several decades. He was inducted into the comics industry's Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1996 and the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 1997.
