History: (All-New, All-Different Avengers I#15 (fb) - BTS) - Rotruvia was a neighbor country to Latverian, the European nation ruled by Doctor Doom. Rotruvia was the principal exporter of the Molynite power source and their language, Rotruvian, was similar to Hungarian.

(All-New, All-Different Avengers I#15) - Upon learning that Doctor Doom was attempted an annex of Rotruvia by force, the Avengers debated getting involved despite Rotruvia refused American assistance. When Captain America admitted Rick Jones' Teen Brigade had been flooded with calls for help by the Rotruvian people, Thor announced that he sided with Captain America in favor of helping Rotruvia and decided to take the Avengers to Asgard to seek the guidance of the all-seeing Heimdall, who could see the future and show the Avengers how their decision to get involved in Rotruvian affairs was wise. Despite Heimdall's protest, Thor had Heimdall look into the future, where Heimdall saw the Avengers victorious in Rotruvia but not against Doctor Doom. Thor proclaimed that the Avengers would be victorious against Doom and Heimdall then sent the Avengers into Rotruvia, where the team fought alongside Rotruvia against Doctor Doom and his Doombots. As the battle progressed, Doom was nearly defeated and as a last ditch attack, Doom unleashed a wave of alchemical radiation that dissolved all Molynite within Rotruvia, destroying not only every weapon in Rotruvia but the Rotruvian economy as well. Confused, Wasp asked why Doom would do such a thing and Iron Man explained that the Rotruvian rulers would have no choice but to beg Latveria for annexation in order to avoid total economic meltdown after the Molynite's destruction. In their last bit of protection for Rotruvia, the Avengers remained as the Rotruvian regent signed surrender documents to Latveria and the team later admitted that while lives were saved, it was a hollow victory since the country itself was lost.
