History:

(Jungle Tales I#5/1 (fb) - BTS) - Kruger was hired by the communist party to spread rebellion in the jungles of Congo. To do so Kruger managed to become the assistant of movie director Pat Mahoney. Kruger outfitted himself with an Africanesque costume and prepared special darts for his blowgun. Instead of a needle tips, these darts had four fang-like needles filled with a hypnotic drug that would induce irrational hatred. Kruger planned to use them on the locals.

(Jungle Tales I#5/1 (fb) - BTS) - By accident, Kruger lost his latest letter from his bosses at the Kremlin which explained his mission.

(Jungle Tales I#5/1) - Just when Kruger located his lost letter, the missive had been found by local heroine Jann of the Jungle. Before she could grab the letter off the jungle floor, the hidden Kruger shot an arrow through it, sending the papers even deeper into the jungle and out of Jann's reach. After retrieving his letter, Kruger quickly returned to his hut in the camp to keep up the ruse of being Pat's assistant. Shortly after he returned to camp, the hypnotic drug he had exposed the local tribesmen to begun to work. The tribespeople refused to continue working for Pat and threatened to hurt them if they didn't leave the jungle. Kruger pretended to be threatened as well and cried out for help to which Jann arrived to rescue him. The natives then destroyed the encampment by setting it on fire. Kruger and Jann made their way out, but Kruger quickly realized Jann wasn't about to give up. Therefore Kruger donned his special costume again and attacked her. He thrusted towards Jann, who used Kruger's momentum against him to throw him into a nearby nest of snakes. Scared to death, Kruger tried to escape the nest only to find himself surrounded by apes and lions instead. He pleaded for Jann's help just as a lion clawed of Kruger's mask thus revealing his true identity. Jann then swooped by, taking Kruger out of the angry jungle beasts' reach. She held him captive until Pat Mahoney arrived. Jann forced Kruger to reveal his true plans and masters: the communist party who wanted to spread rebellion through the Congo. Jann then announced she had been on to Kruger ever since she found the letter in the jungle. Kruger was turned over to the authorities.
