History:

(X-Men I#99 - BTS) - During the evening news, Roger Grimsby reported on an imminent midnight launch at Cape Canaveral. Where the Starcore Project shuttle piloted by Dr. Peter Corbeau was set to lift-off. After his story Grimsby colleague Geraldo Rivera reported on the widespread epidemic of anti-mutant hysteria that swept the country, revealing that the Long Island home of federal judge Robert Chalmers, noted foe of the anti-mutant movement, was firebombed. Grimsby, however, interrupted Rivera's piece to show the viewers an update of the Starcore shuttle launch. After this, they called on Melba Tolliver for the other news stories.

Roger Grimsby (September 23, 1928 - June 23, 1995) was an American journalist, television news anchor and actor. Grimsby, who for 18 years was seen on the ABC Television Network flagship station WABC in New York City, is known as one of the pioneers of local television broadcast news.
