History:

(Sub-Mariner I#56 (fb) - BTS) - While assisting Lord Vashti in his observatory, Coral and the royal advisor bore witness to an alien spacecraft landing near Atlantis. Afraid the aliens would be warlike, Vashti feared Atlantis was defenseless because Namor had abdicated his throne and the Atlantean army was occupied fighting Attuma's forces. Coral was tasked to scour the sea-beds and locate Namor.

(Sub-Mariner I#56) - While looking for Namor, Coral was suddenly surrounded by a group of hungry sharks. Determined to find Namor, she prepared to fight the ravenous sea creatures off with her knife. However, the Sub-Mariner arrived in time after hearing her scream. Following the necessary introductions, Coral revealed why she had come out looking for him. Namor refused to help his former kingdom but did escort Coral home safely.

(Sub-Mariner I#56 - BTS) - Unbeknownst to Namor and Coral the alien saucer belonged to a benign race known as the Banari who had come to Earth to warn mankind of the threat of the Haab who had escaped from their cages.

(Sub-Mariner I#56) - After returning to Atlantis, Namor ordered Coral to stay outside the palace walls while he circled them, searching for the possible alien threat. He encountered the hungry Haab who had breached the palace walls and battled them. At the same time, the friendly Banari also reached the palace walls and found Coral who they explained to what had happened. Coral and the Banari made their way over to Namor just as he had defeated all of the Haab. Namor was introduced to the Banari and after hearing the aliens' story Namor advised the Banari to see Lord Vashti, feeling he would surely help them. They set off to Atlantis along with Coral but moments later the Atlantean army returned from fighting Attuma's troops. After seeing the aliens and the breached palace walls, the army incorrectly concluded the Banari were hostile invaders and Coral was their accomplice. As a result, Coral and her alien friends were killed. Only after the fact, the soldiers realized none of their enemies carried weapons. Remorseful he didn't do more to help Coral and the Banari, Namor took Coral's corpse and gave her a proper funeral.
