History:

(Excalibur I#16 (fb) - BTS) - Anjulie came to serve a creature of raw and fundamental evil.

(Excalibur I#16 (fb) - As the creature's servant, she helped it to achieve world domination. Anjulie took to the royal citadel and met with the King, whom she easily seduced with her feminine charms. After she had successfully overthrown the king, she made him into her slave while his daughter Kymri was banished from the citadel.

(Excalibur I#16 (fb) - Now that the creature had access to the citadel, Anjulie performed a ritual through which the creature could enter their plane of existence. Now present in the citadel, it drained the planet of its primal life force. As a result, all magic seemed to disappear from the planet.

(Excalibur I#16) - While traveling on her imperial cruiser, Anjulie was attacked by Kymri and a band of pirate-like warriors loyal to the real royals. Kymri and her men slayed every last one of Anjulie's guards. But before Kymri could kill Anjulie she was accidentally knocked out by the dimension hopping Nightcrawler (Excalibur was lost in the Multiverse during their so called Cross-Time Caper). Seeing the beautiful Anjulie, Nightcrawler incorrectly assumed she was the "damsel in distress" and defeated Kymri. For his trouble, Kurt got knocked unconscious by Anjulie herself.

(Excalibur I#16 - BTS) - Anjulie brought Nightcrawler and Kymri back to the citadel where Kymri was locked away in the dungeon. She, however, decided to keep Nightcrawler as a toy and had him brought to her personal quarters.

(Excalibur I#16) - Unaware who had knocked him out, Nightcrawler was recovering in a bath when the scantily dressed Anjulie appeared. Wanting to thank the warrior for saving her she dove into the bath, lost her clothing and kissed Nightcrawler in a romantic embrace. Afterwards the two got dressed and enjoyed each other's company until her servant Pica poured her a glass of wine and accidentally spilled a drop on her hand. Pica shuddered in fear as he knew even such a minor mistake would mean certain death, noticing the look in Anjulie's eyes Nightcrawler quickly took a hold of her hand and kissed the spilled drop away.

(Excalibur I#16) - Later that night Anjulie, accompanied by the former king disguised as a servant, went to check on her master. The creature had just taken hold of the other Excalibur members and their friends whose mutant nature provided him a "glorious" feeding. Unbeknownst to Anjulie, Nightcrawler had followed her and found Kymri in the citadel's dungeon, the former princess explained what had transpired causing Nightcrawler to feel ashamed about aiding the usurper. He vowed to correct his wrongs. Anjulie witnessed how her master tried to feed on the mutants just as Nightcrawler and Kymri arrived to deal with them. While Nightcrawler tried to free his friends from the creature's tentacles Anjulie was knocked aside by Kymri who killed Anjulie's servant only to find the disfigured man was her father, the former king. Anjulie grabbed a knife and leapt towards Kymri to kill her. She was stabbed to death by Kitty Pryde. The heroes subsequently managed to destroy the evil creature by letting it feed on the Phoenix (Rachel Summers) whose primal power was even too much for the creature.

Anjulie's Master

Anjulie's master was considered a creature of raw and fundamental evil. His servant Anjulie successfully overthrew the King of Barsoom by performing a ritual through which the creature could enter their plane of existence. Now present in the flying citadel, it drained the planet of its primal life force, thereby making all magic disappear from the world as well. Making the flying citadel its home, the creature would occassionally feed on Barsoom's citizens by lowering its tentacles and grabbing some victims. One day, the creature encountered several members of Excalibur and their friends (the 616-heroes had been lost in space-time). The creature would every now and than lower it's tentacles to catch unsuspected citizens which it fed on. Amongst them the members of Excalibur and their friends who had been lost in the Multiverse. The creature had tried to absorb Captain Britain, Meggan and the two dragons and felt his life-light glow within, making him believe it to be a "glorious" feeding. Just then, the creature and his servant Anjulie were attacked by Nightcrawler and former Barsoom Princess Kymri. After Anjulie was disposed of, Nightcrawler managed to destroy the evil creature by letting it feed on Phoenix (Rachel Summers) whose primal power proved too potent.

Pica

Pica was one of Anjulie's many servants. He was present when Anjulie and Nightcrawler where enjoying each other's company. When Anjulie ordered Pica to fill her glass with more wine he accidentally spilled a drop on her hand. Pica shuddered in fear as he knew even such a minor mistake would mean certain death, noticing the look in Anjulie's eyes Nightcrawler quickly took a hold of her hand and kissed the spilled drop away. Anjulie ordered Pica to leave as she would deal with him later. Pica was not forgiven, his punishment proofed near fatal and was imprisoned in the citadel's dungeon. Later that night when Nightcrawler followed Anjulie into the dungeons he found Pica in one of the cells and gasped what had been done to the servant.
