Real Name: Paul M. Imonker
Identity/Class: Human mutant (see comments)
Group Membership: Leader of an army of killer earthworms and catterpillars
Affiliations: None known (earthworms and caterpillars rarely have names....sorry Jim)
Enemies: Cape Cod Police Department & every other human being (he generally doesn't seem too fond of humans)
Known Relatives: None
Base of Operations: Cape Cod, Massachusetts
First Appearance: What The--?!#24 (December, 1992)
Powers/Abilities: Uncinus is a telepath, who, fixated on hooks and worms due to his own deformed appearance, was probably unaware of his own telepathic prowess. He mostly used his mental powers to control all kinds of wormlike creatures, force people to turn around in their tracks and to cause cars (presumably by mentally commanding the driver) to do u-turns by snapping his fingers. He could also bait fish hooks without looking.
Height: Unrevealed (added height due to a growth on his head)
Weight: Unrevealed (but each pound is ugly)
Hair: Bald (aside from a few hairs....they look black)
(What The--?!#24 (fb) - BTS) - At some point Uncinus became aware of his powers and became the leader of an army of earthworms and catterpillars.
At some point he started to make people turn around in their tracks, possibly by using his mental powers.
At some point Uncinus caused police cars to do u-turns by snapping his fingers.
At some point Uncinus realized that he could bait fish hooks without even looking.
The order of above events is unknown.
Comments: Created by Rick Parker (listed as Ricko the Sicko).
The "Zoids" are "would-be Marvel Super-Heroes and Villains who never QUITE made it...", making them fringe characters, kind of like the hostess and other advertisement or unconventional source.
The Ricko the Sicko listed as the creator of Uncinus is Rick Parker, who was
the artist on most of Marvel's Beavis and Butthead comics and the letterist
on seemingly every Marvel comic in the late 80's/early 90's.
Uncinus is latin and means hook. In meteorology the term is used to describe a cloud species and in paleontology it describes the curved tip associated with belemnite tentacles. Hooky!
His look screams mutant! A psychically disturbed one, who limited himself through his own mental state, but a mutant nonetheless.....IMHO. Or maybe he was the offspring of a worm and a troll.
BTW Uncinus' base of operations Cape Cod is well known for sports fishing. Surprised, eh!?
