History:

(Heroes Reborn: Young Allies#1 (fb) - BTS) - Benito Serrano was mutated into Toro in an Adrenal-Steroid experiment that lasted four years (see comments) by the Colombian drug-cartels.

(Heroes Reborn: Young Allies#1) - Toro and Bucky saved the teenage outlaw Kid Colt from SHIELD forces. During the fight Toro used a tree trunk to knock away some of the SHIELD agents. Afterward Toro transformed back to his human form and Bucky asked Kid Colt to join the Young Allies as their teleporter. They then took their hijacked SHIELD craft to head back home to Philadelphia.

A few days later the Young Allies arrived in Philadelphia where Bucky took Toro and Kid Colt to her grandparents Richard and Peggy to stay for some rest and a full meal. Toro had some milk and cookies after eating a full meal with a lot of meat. Kid Colt and Toro comforted Bucky's grandparents, who feared Bucky couldn't handle her dangerous life. Toro, Bucky and Kid Colt had a rough landing on Muir Island after I.Q. pushed Kid Colt to use his powers to teleport them there. Back on their feet the Young Allies fought their way into the facility where Nortel Energy CEO Leland Walker tried to turn himself into a conduit for the energies of the Rip, which had previously destroyed Paris. Toro broke open the door to the lab and witnessed alongside the other Young Allies Walker transforming into the conduit. The Young Allies tried their best to stop Walker, but the Rip's energies had already become part of him. After Walker split into physical manifestations of the abstract beings of Order and Chaos they joined the Young Allies.

(Thunderbolts I#52 (fb) - BTS) - The Young Allies opposed Dr. Doom's tyrannical rule on Counter-Earth aka. Planet Doom.

(Thunderbolts I#52 (fb) ) - Kid Colt opened a portal for Bucky and Toro to Earth. Bucky and Toro used it to get to Latveria and threaten the land with a biochemical gas to force Dr. Doom to retire from his rule on Counter-Earth.

(Thunderbolts I#51 - BTS) - Dr. Doom showed Captain America and the Redeemers a holographic image of the terrorists threatening Latveria: the Young Allies (Bucky, Kid Colt and Toro) from Counter-Earth.

(Thunderbolts I#52 - BTS) - Toro didn't like the mission at all because they were threatening innocent peple. Toro caused a landslide, trying to bury the Redeemers beneath it.

(Thunderbolts I#52) - Bucky didn't think they were dead, but thanked Toro for his efforts with a big hug. I.Q. contacted them to once again inform Toro that they had to do this to get Doom off Counter-Earth for good. The Redeemers caught up to Toro and Bucky and attacked them. Smuggler tripped Toro and was then shot with various energy blasts by Scream and Rebel. The situation calmed down when Captain America confronted his former Counter-Earth partner Bucky and her partner Toro, who tossed Bucky back to the gas canister, whose seals she broke open using Cap's shield. Rebel shot Toro in the head, but the bullet only tickled his bulletproof skin. Bucky finally opened the canister to reveal that she was only bluffing and had never intended to actually hurt innocent people. Unfortunately this also meant that Doom knew that it was a bluff. Bucky and Toro returned home to Conter-Earth, using another portal opened by Kid Colt.

(Thunderbolts I#60 - BTS) - When the Thunderbolts got stranded on Counter-Earth Jolt mentioned the Young Allies as some of the few remaining heroes forced to deal with natural disasters and cosmic threats.

(Thunderbolts I#62) - The Young Allies witnessed on TV the take-off a rocket carrying a satellite to grant Germany sole access to global communications. The stranded Thunderbolts destroyed the rocket to prevent Germany taking full control over the world economy.

(Thunderbolts I#72 (fb) - BTS) - The Young Allies learned a giant alien ship on both planets at the bottom of the Mir diamond mine in Russia had become a connection between Counter-Earth and Earth. The Rip concluded that Earth had to die for Counter-Earth to keep existing. The other Young Allies didn't like the idea to sacrifice an Earth for the other and traveled to the ship's location to find a way to save both Earths.

(Thunderbolts I#72) - The Young Allies confronted the Thunderbolts at the ship in the Mir mine. Rip revealed that Earth had to be sacrificed angering the Thunderbolts. While Bucky told Jolt that the Young Allies were actually searching for a way to save both Earths while their teammates fought each other. During the fight Moonstone nearly knocked out Toro with a single punch. Anomaly stopped the fight explaining once again that only one Earth could surive. Baron Zemo offered him his help!

(Thunderbolts I#74) - The unconscious heroes including Toro awakened while Zemo forged plans with Anomaly to destroy one Earth to save the other. Toro brought Bucky, who woke up last, up-to-date of the occurrences at the ship. While Toro and the others worked on the ship I.Q. contacted Zemo and came up with a plan to save both Earths by covering the ship in a bioelectro-ionic field, using the powers of Atlas and Jolt, to cut off the connection between the ship on Counter-Earth and its counterpart on Earth. A short time later the Young Allies witnessed the plan succeed. Fixer saved Jolt's life, who would have lost her life in the process, by grounding her and as a result stranding her on Counter-Earth. Toro caught Jolt, who only wanted to know if the plan had worked. It did!

(Thunderbolts I#75) - Kid Colt teleported the Young Allies to Attilan in front of a cheering crowd, who recognized Jolt as one of their saviors the Thunderbolts, but not the others. Jolt asked the team to keep saving Counter-Earth and they agreed to her plan.

(Exiles I#81 (fb) - BTS) - The Young Allies kept trying to make Counter-Earth livable again and took in as many refugees on Attilan as they could.

Queen Dorma eventually tricked the Young Allies to fly Attilan to a meeting point of her choosing, claiming she sought an alliance. She actually planned to shoot down Attilan with a missile.

(Exiles I#81) - Toro and the other Young Allies were waiting for Dorma when the Statue of Liberty, animated by Proteus of Earth-58163, stranded on Counter-Earth after Earth-3470's Heather Hudson, a member of the Exiles, tricked him to go there instead of Earth in Reality-616. They took Proteus back to Attilan after he handed over the Atlanteans' missile and offered them his aid against their enemies in return for their aid against his enemies: the Exiles. Toro was present when Bucky told Proteus everything to know about Counter-Earth. When the Exiles arrived on Counter-Earth to capture Protues they were opposed by the Young Allies, who were shocked when Proteus turned out to be utterly evil. The Rip, deciding Proteus was the being able to judge Counter-Earth once and for all, then took Proteus away, leaving the Exiles and the Young Allies behind on Attilan.

(Exiles I#82) - The Young Allies explained to the Exiles who the Rip was. When both teams arrived in Atlantis they found the Atlanteans including Dorma dead as they city had been lifted from the ocean by Proteus and the Atlanteans couldn't survive outside the water. Proteus fired the Atlanteans' rockets and while Jolt and Kid Colt took care of the missiles the others, including Toro, tried their best to fight Proteus, but he used his reality-altering powers to take them down. Proteus was unaware that Blink had placed a behaviour modifier into Dorma's crown, which the proud Proteus put on, leaving his mind modified in a way that only allowed him access to his host Morph's memories, defeating him. Toro and the others got up again and witnessed Atlantis, which was only kept above sea level by Proteus' powers, sinking again. Jolt teleported the Young Allies and Exiles back to Attilan.

After the Exiles' Heather Hudson sent the remaining rockets into space the Young Allies thanked the Exiles for their aid against Dorma and Proteus.

Comments: Created by Fabian Nicieza (writer), Mark Bagley (pencils) & Al Vey (inks).

Because of Counter-Earth's nature as an artificially created world that was only around one year old at this point the experiment that mutated Benito into Toro did not actually last four years and possibly didn't even happen, which could mean that Franklin had created Toro already mutated and with the memory of the experiment within him.
