History: (X-Force I#87 (fb) - BTS) - At an unrevealed moment in time, Devon Almar encountered Christopher Aaronson and accepted his offer to join the New Hellions as Switch. He moved to Aaronson's ranch in Santa Lucia, California while they prepared to revive the Armageddon Man.

(X-Force I#87) - Domino and Jesse Aaronson infiltrated the ranch looking for Christopher. Magma and Paradigm tried to stop them but in the end, it was Christopher who stopped the two X-Force members with his powers. When Domino and Jesse came to, they were introduced to Switch and the other New Hellions. He then stunned the heroes by offering them membership.

(X-Force I#88 - BTS) - Switch waited while Jesse contacted the other members of X-Force to come to the ranch to discuss King Bedlam's offer. When X-Force agreed to come, he secretly took over Domino. Switch's then-unconscious body was placed inside the ranch's wine cellar.

(X-Force I#88) - As soon as X-Force arrived, King Bedlam made his case and then offered for the team to stay the night to consider his offer. The heroes agreed to the proposal but couldn't help noticing that Domino was acting out of character. As if on cue, Domino entered in Switch's body to expose the mutant. After a brief fight, Siryn used her wail to force them back in their own bodies. While Switch was left unconscious, X-Force went forth to confront the New Hellions. However, King Bedlam ordered Paradigm to intervene. He covered the heroes in his techno-organic filaments, which not only incapacitated them but also put the mutants under his control. King Bedlam told Paradigm to use X-Force to help them transport the Armageddon Man to the Summerfield Canyon Nuclear Power Facility, where they would awaken the powerful mutant.

(X-Force I#89) - King Bedlam sent Switch and Feral to capture Senator Owen Danville. As a politician, he was responsible for sanctioning Bastion's Operation: Zero Tolerance. Back in 1959 however, he was a US army colonel assigned to the Almogordo Project responsible for the Armageddon Man and the airstrike that brought him to his knees when his power ran out of control. King Bedlam wanted Danville present for the Armageddon Man's resurrection so he could speak to the US government and convince them to give into King Bedlam's demands, including a billion dollars to not unleash the Armagedddon Man. Switch took over his body and brought the senator to the Summerfield Canyon Nuclear Facility, where Paradigm was forcing X-Force to place the Armageddon Man inside the coolant vat for his possible revival. Danville begged King Bedlam, Switch and the others to abandon the plan, claiming the Armageddon Man could not be controlled. Switch told him to shut up, even threatening to take him over again and commit a murder in front of the entire Washington press corps. However, Switch and the others were betrayed by their teammate Tarot, who disabled Paradigm's control long enough for X-Force to free themselves and attack the New Hellions. They were unable to stop the resurgence of the Armageddon Man.

(X-Force I#90) - Switch watched as King Bedlam revealed his way of controlling the Armageddon Man: a headgear designed by Black Air. X-Force's Cannonball flew off to stop the massive, hulking creature, which alarmed Switch but King Bedlam assured him that the Armageddon Man was next to invulnerable. X-Force then engaged the New Hellions and the fight took a turn for the worse when the battle-crazed Feral ripped Siryn's throat out. While Sunspot flew her to the hospital, Domino knocked Switch out before he could claim another body. He remained unconscious while the others eventually dealt with the largely uncontrollable Armageddon Man.
