Powers/Abilities: The "Road Warrior Ghost Rider" presumably possessed superhuman strength and durability. He carried twin pistols, and had a bionic arm which ended in a chainsaw. He also wore a chain wrapped round his body, which he may have been able to use as a weapon similar to the chains worn by both the Dan Ketch and Johnny Blaze Ghost Riders. He drove a powerful-looking motorbike which had oversized hellfire tires, and was armed with a minigun.

History: (Ghost Rider VI#33 (fb) - BTS) - Thirty cycles (years) in the future (see comments), two cyborg Ghost Riders protected the innocent in a dark and gritty world. They worked alongside Caretaker, the middle-aged former nun Sara. When the opportunity to make use of time travel availed itself, Sara sent the pair back in time to shortly after her younger self had taken up the Caretaker role from her late grandfather, knowing that at that juncture the younger Sara was suffering a crisis of faith.

(Ghost Rider VI#33 (fb)) - The pair of Ghost Riders arrived in their past to find Sara in a graveyard, having just buried over a dozen nuns from her old convent who had been massacred by the Deacon. The male rider noted with surprise that Sara had been hot in her youth, a comment that earned a rebuke from his female partner. Together they identified themselves as having come back in time from Sara's future with a message to deliver from Sara herself. Though they could not give away details without risking damaging the timeline, they told her not to give up hope, and informed her that though her foe the rogue angel Zadkiel had conquered Heaven, she should keep fighting and not let the Ghost Rider legacy end at this time. The female rider told Sara to locate her erstwhile allies, the Ghost Riders Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch, because the forthcoming conflict was a battle they needed to fight together. As the two future Ghost Riders prepared to depart, the male queried whether they should also warn Sara about the shapeshifting Skrulls, who had at that time secretly invaded the world. Ignoring this suggestion, the female rider gave Sara one last piece of advice, to stay true to herself no matter what happened, adding that everything depended on her. This last brought a sardonic "yeah, no pressure or anything" from the male rider, and then the pair vanished back to the future in a flash of hellfire.

Comments: Created by Jason Aaron and Tony Moore.

The two "Road Warrior Ghost Riders" come from "thirty cycles in the future," which would be 2039 at the time the story was published. However, the sliding timescale means the exact date they originate from will continue moving later and later, with 2039 being a topical reference.

The script suggests this future era Ghost Rider might be Johnny Blaze's son, Craig, while the female he works with might be Johnny's daughter, Emma. Though Craig and Emma are dead in the current day, as shown in Ghost Rider: Heaven's on Fire #6, resurrection is not uncommon in comics, so this option cannot be ruled out. The script also makes it clear that the two Road Warrior Ghost Riders are a deliberate homage to the Road Warrior movies and fashion style. His chainsaw hand is a deliberate nod to Ghost Rider 2099, and the script notes he comes from "a rough, dark future, not a shiny happy Star Trek one." He isn't named - Road Warrior is a descriptor, rather than a codename.
