 MAGNETO (Android)

Classification: Terrestrial robot

Creator: Arcade

User/Possessors: Arcade

Base of Operations: Murderworld

First Appearance: X-Men I#124 (August, 1979)

Powers/Abilities/Functions: Arcade’s Magneto robot did not display any superhuman powers, other than being a robot that visually resembled Magneto. It did not seem to possess Magneto’s magnetic powers. It may have been able to levitate (see comments).

History:

(X-Men I#124) – Learning from an earlier encounter with Spider-Man, Arcade placed the Magneto android, together with a Hulk robot, inside Murderworld’s maintenance shafts to prevent anyone from following the shafts to Arcade’s control room. When Banshee and Wolverine broke into the maintenance shafts, the Magneto robot surprised them, exclaiming that no one escapes from Murderworld. The Magneto and Hulk robots then began battling Wolverine and Banshee as Cyclops blasted his way into the tunnels. Cyclops made quick work of the Magneto android, blasting it through the chest just before Storm blasted her way into the tunnels, flooding the tunnels with water from the room she had been trapped in.
