(Power Pack I#26 (fb) - BTS) - Bandersnatch slew the Kymellian female Kareen, wife of mother of Yrik and mother of Kofi. With Yrik unable to help (in his nightmares he was bound by a series of hands coming from the ground, but that may have just been part of the nightmare), Kareen sacrificed herself protecting Kofi from the Bandersnatch.

Comments: Created by Louise Simonson, Jon Bogdanove, and Bob Wiacek.

If the Bandersnatch were native to Kymel (the original home planet of the Kymellians, until ret-conned otherwise), then it is quite possible they were exterminated when that planet was destroyed by the matter/anti-matter converter that led the Kymellians to relocate to the artificial planet Kymellia.
Of course, since a significant population of Kymellians survived the destruction of their world, it is quite possible that some of the Bandersnatch survived, too. They don't seem like a race with any sort of advanced technology, but we really don't know much about them.

Yrik apparently long resented Kofi for costing Kareen her life.
