History:
(Adventures Into Terror#15/4 (fb) - BTS) - Ivan Pushkin perfected a type of heart surgery in Russia which he used on an American patient. For curing an American, he and his wife Anna were imprisoned, with Ivan sentenced to be executed.
(Adventures Into Terror#15/4) - The once proud Commissar was laid low with a heart ailment and Ivan was brutally taken from his cell to perform life-saving surgery. Initially defiant, he decided to operate when the Russian guard threatened to kill his wife. Ivan was shocked to see the state of the Commissar and surgery went underway a few hours later. Ivan was watched and bullied during the surgery. Torn between killing the Commissar and safeguarding his wife, he secretly left a scalpel inside near the patient's heart. The next day, he and his wife were taken to the American zone in Berlin; however, Anna voiced her disappointment that her husband had not killed the the brutal Commissar when he had the chance. Ivan then told her that when the Commissar moved, the scalpel would cut inside him.

This
story was later reprinted in Monsters on the Prowl#23/2 and the
location changed to a land called Bodavia. Tony Isabella clarified
that he created Bodavia for some redacted reprints to replace the
